YES it is 2 payments because the line of credit charges interest. No matter the amount you deposit into the line of credit they will charge the interest immedistely and make the rest available to use. You will not have the full amount available to you unless it has 0% interest.

I still don’t understand because the mortgage payment will be pull from your checkings account not the line of credit. So where will the money be if your paying everything to the line of credit?
If you acquired overdraft protection in your checking account they will pull the payment out of your line of credit no fee involved. It's minimal compared to the drudgery of amortized interest over years. Your making your credit payment when you deposit new money in. 14
I’m still not grasping this concept of taking ex 10,000 LOC. Don’t I still have to pay my regular mortgage payment ?? I have 15yr 6months left on my mortgage Payment is 2183 month. Plus monthly bills. Etc. how can I do this ? Live in NYC. Thanks
