I understand everyone's concern with show. They made it more like a Bollywood awards show rather than a pageant. Inclusion of so many actors and unnecessary people on stage. But we also need to understand it from a business perspective. Selecting Jio world convention centre and awarding humanitarian award to Nita Ambani is all for business purpose.Then bringing Sanjay Bhansali's film cast to show is all for making money by advertising them. I know they could have done better with setting the show and format. But it happens with every pageant whether its MW or MU or MS. After the pageant ends. We always have something or the other to say about the show. And to be honest i still felt like the show was pretty good. The Winner was well deserved. The overall results were fair. I enjoyed it.
I completely agree with you.The organizers made the show like a typical bollywood award show. If one watches the previous year's Miss World event conducted in other countries he/ she will definitely be able to differentiate the standard. Nothing is in international standard, while watching I felt like watching TV commercial or a casual fashion event.
In contrast to other leading international pageants, Miss World stands out by providing a broader platform for all participants to showcase their talents and personalities, rather than basing evaluations only on initial impressions or certain way to pose or walk, especially the final competition. Additionally, it does an exceptional job in highlighting the rich cultural heritage of the host country to a global audience.
I must say, I was very surprised to see that other than India, none of the usual powerhouse countries made it into the Top 40. That was rather refreshing!

I'm curious as to how they determined who would move forward once the top 40 was chosen. There weren't any actual competitions happening on stage, so the basis of the choices are not as clear. Also, I'm not a fan of continental choices all the way till the top 4. They should only have those choices in top 40, maybe one from each group in the 12 then all depending on the scores. I would have loved to have seen both Bostwana and Uganda in the finals or even win, but there was only room for one of them. Congrats to Czechia for their second win!

I liked the concept of declaration that the top 4 are their continent miss worlds. To be honest it gives every girl a chance to compete on continent level and then compete with other continent gal's to become the miss world. To get the best of each continent and compete with other continent. A great way to judge, but not able to understand the selection process from top 40 to top 12 and top 8
This production is fantastic, it is the same production company as for Miss France, Endemol, of course there will be a lot of singing and fantastic tableaus. People are given in into the cliché that MW is boring so they can’t assess the super production this is. But they all love Miss France. They should do the same next year, only shorten it of 90 minutes.

Do agree...they made it more like a Bollywood award show... actors promoting their movies .....the 1996 event was far far better than this event ....why they always include Bollywood everywhere...same it can be experienced in the national pageant at Femina...even the judges are from film industry only.. I mean how they are going to judge an event more dedicated towards social work with a purpose and least a glamour event
