I have a 2012 Yaris L 3 door hatchback 5spd. It's the same way. I don't understand it, because it has such a small footprint, it almost looks top heavy. However, it's quite nimble.

Impressive stuff! I did a 11:24 with two yellow flags with my girlfriend's 69 hp Polo - the same time as my friend with his 170 hp Omega B, also with two yellow flags. Driving slow cars fast is absolutely the best thing ever!
Great job! Really shows that good driving, grip and low weight can make a huge difference. I had so manny moment in my mx5 that people won't give you the space because they think you're slow even though you take corners way faster...

Sometimes it's not about the hp, just like with old Clio's and Fiesta's. If you're a skilled driver you can squeeze the maximum out of it by maximizing exit speeds because the steering on these older hatchbacks is quite good often times!

Honnêtement, les pneus avaient tellement d'adhérence que je pense avoir utilisé leur potentiel sur un ou deux virages uniquement. C'était surdimensionné pour ce défi. Une taille et une gamme en dessous auraient suffit. Je pense que des Yokohama AD08 ça aurait été un bon choix. Après, les R888r te mettent en confiance, ça change une auto.
Tu m'étonnes, je me le suis dit sur chaque tour: "putain les pneus, putain mes ailes"... En fait ça va, c'était gênant avec l'aile arrière droite surtout dans le karussel... Ca pompait tellement que ca aurait pu éventrer le pneus au début. Autre chose qu'on ne voit pas, le colonne de direction dans le karussel, j'avais l'impression que le volant aller me rester dans les mains alors je passais pas à toc dedans, c'etait trop violent pour la voiture.

Thanks mate. I only had 19 laps on the ring during the last 10 years. I boutgh the Twingo on the ring without testing it before. I took me 6 laps to get a free lap and go under 10 min.

Sheer driving skills and perhaps some advanced track familiarity made this happen. The BMW overtaken at 4:55 overtook back at 10:22 only thanks to engine power. Driving skills were inside this little, but capable Twingo! Nice to see from cab view perspective. Fun to hear the whining (or nearly grinding) of the differential gears when cornering. Great video!
What I love about this is clip is how differently you have to think driving such a car there. The Twingo doesn't have the power to maintain speed going up those hills - something that is hardly a concern in most cars that make it to the 'ring.

L’ax a fait un poil mieux et je crois pas qu’elle avait des pneus aussi bons en revanche elle était plus légère et son moteur aussi puissant et plus coupleux.

This was my 25th lap on the ring since 2013.
