I want you to know that I love this song, I am a disabled veteran and I have competed in the national Veterans Creative Arts Festival and won 3rd place singing this song and then during the regional' s for Ms. Veteran America 2014 and one of the judges was moved and told me that she loved it and I made it to the top 20 to Washington D.C. I sing it at military funerals for friends, just this morning and others prior and the people love the song. When I'm in pain, I can sing this song and fall asleep sometimes before sing finish singing the song.
Lisa Milner ..... I was touched by your commentary...as I am also a disabled Veteran as well as a Minister, and I sing as well in an Evangelistic Ministry....although I have yet to sing this song. It is SO beautiful. May God bless you as you serve Him !!!

Listening to this song on the 23rd of October 2020 176years after the Great Disappointment of 1844. Lets continue to have the faith of our fathers like William Miller who studied scriptures for 15 years and was led to the text in Daniel 8 v 14. I am glad that Miller was humble enough to admit his error. Hence he fixed his mind on another time! Keep hope alive!

I was lucky to pick this station up on 1629-no station I.D where I was in the car.Kyle at 3ABN kindly responded after I found out what station it might be after emailing.As a lapsed Catholic and it being Easter,I was going to stop the car to listen to this.Luckily still had a good signal to keep going.

This song by this singer has become a daily part of my worship time in my home workroom/studio. I am a Christian writer, composer and preschool teacher. The distractions have been many to block my progress in those areas of my life. I have learned the difference between "Gospel " singers who "entertain" and those who sing from the very heart of God. When this guy sings this, there is focus on Christ, the presence of the Holy Spirit!

I only discovered this song just in 2017, and I bought the sheet music just for my choir. I must say that this song is truly a song of hope. And anytime I sing it, I can but to see how firm our pioneers were. In spite of all the hardships and the disappointment, they kept their faith until the end. Miller was indeed a man of faith.
