this was from my first phish show! im only 15 and only really started listening to them about a year or two ago. i'm so happy my dad took me to see them. i hope to see them again soon!
There is media-driven popularity and then there is fan-based popularity. The former is designed to generate wealth for a record label for about 1-3 years before the name disappears altogether. The latter isn’t designed to make money, per se. It is for niche groups of people who come together to enjoy music as a community. And that’s what bands like Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic and Phish are all about-albeit with some mainstream tunes.
Fuck yes, as a person from Europe only getting a small glimpse of this tour the fact that they've already done three 25+ minute jams is incredible, gonna enjoy this one with some nice cold beers.

Sprinkle a little bit of some of the best LSD on top...out pops a baby Phish. Lol Which I believe has evoked more Raw emotion from Millions of people worldwide and damn near any other musical group. no ...not even opera comes close 😄 Ben harper toys with itfot me, but not like these boys
The collective sound these 4 dudes make is unlike anything you can find in music today. It's hard to even put into words. It's a massive, funk inspired grove that travels over so much territory. Simply put, it's brilliant!

This is THE song, THE performance that got me into Phish. I wasn't at this show, but it made me finally "get it". I danced in the dark in my living room, remembered happy scenes from my childhood. Smiled, cried and boogied down. Thanks boys! Phorever grateful.
I had not been to a Phish show since 1996. My cousin asked me to go to this one and I said heck yes! Man am I glad I did! We got poured on and soaked before they came on. Caused a slight delay. I feel like the giant pause in playing from the pandemic and the delay fueled them. They came out firing on all cylinders. Truly an amazing show and I’m honored to have been there in person!
Wow. Sounds like Phish isn't ready to give up the jam crown yet! Incredible, I thought I was out of my Phish phase and on to other bands, but I heard through the grapevine that they were killing it right now. This is the first time I've listened to them in years now, and I feel like I'm back home.

Oh my God, I have been a phish fan since 97 or so. Went to big cypress, seen a dozen or so shows. Haven't been listening to them very much over the past five years or so. I just watched this on a hunch and I feel blown away by them all over again like it was back in the day. Unreal how far they have come. I will always love this band.
It’s true they were more aggressive back then but they’re playing their best together these days. So much space and interplay. Hope you get to a show this summer!
This is one of those flights that are out of rank reach. Sometimes this magic happens. Since they ve started almost 40 years ago...in Barcelona 98 when I last saw them they pulled out of the hat a "short" porno funk Tweezer they will step in my heart forever. And yes this and that is magic

First show since 2018 and man do they sound great. They’re so locked in on this tweezer. Around the 18 minute mark it couldn’t be any tighter. Fishman is an animal!! 🍩
Absolutely fantastic! I’ve been listening to and seeing Phish live since 1993, this is one the absolute greatest musical adventures they ever been on, hands down. So unbelievable to see them connecting on this level after 40 years. I just cried, it’s so fantastic to see them still playing like this. Makes my life better, always has! Thanks!!!!!❤
I began my first foray into Phish 7/28/93 Grady Cole. The playing midnight to dawn Big Cypress. Last was MSG 12/31/18. It's a majestic thing to experience.
Live Phish, Nugs or whoever the heck is in charge of recording these things. Please more far shots so you can see the whole stage. Chris's lights are absolutely INSANE this tour (especially the full rig from Alpharetta). You can hardly tell in any of these videos. Its cool seeing the guys up close, but you are leaving out the work of the 5th member of Phish!

For sure. 10.15.94 is when it all started and I got really hardcore in ‘96 just in time for Halloween (unreal!!!!!) and then 1997 WOW! So all of 1.0 is great to me, But I will put this tour up with ANY since maybe 2000

This is above anything I have seen in the 30 years I have been watching this band. The feelings of “where am I” and “is this moment even real” are everywhere in this tweezer. Love it! They have always blown my mind at the time it is happening. What happened in ‘94 was unreal at that time. 97-99 same. Nothing like it at that time. The CK lights. The fans. The sounds from the stage. Nothing like it. Until this.

I don't see how any fan that understands Phish's artistic philosophy could be anything but elated by what they are doing on this tour. All of the complaining is coming from people that want Phish to do what they did before or that think they know how Phish songs should go better than Phish does. That in mind, I didn't run into any haters this weekend. These webcasts are great but they only give a glimpse of what these new toys sound like live. Holy shit. Who needs drugs when a band is giving you all this already? Beautiful.
We’re very fortunate to say the very least. For the 27 years I’ve been listening, it’s rarely been stale. Always progressing. For these guys to continue to still be this passionate and creative is just plain awesome.
I was driving through rural, and I mean really rural-ass rural, Pennsylvania yesterday and I caught this jam in progress. I knew it was them but didn't know from when. I drove out of range of WXPN before I could learn. Today I went to their playlist, saw it was from this date, and here it is. Thanks, Interwebs! And special thanks to Phish for their generous sharing of these peak performances. I've always hated the song for its stupid lyrics -- don't you judge me -- but this jam is indescribably beautiful. Thanks for sharing doesn't do it justice. Now Imma roll my eyes back in my head.

at 30:10 trey play s adescending line and wantsto accompany it, the next measure, page isplaying the sameline on a dreamy synth sound and trey has already switched over to the synth pedal and dropped an octave, the smile on his face at that one small feat of psychic ability these 4 have is what i chase.
