      My guess would be based on recent history, since Texas has lost 8 of the last 11 (Since 2014), and 2 of the last 3 (Since '21 when Sark took over).
      It's worth noting, though, that the better team has also won 8 of the last 11 (Since 2014), and 2 of the last 3 (Since Sark took over). That's ~73%, and ~67% respectively.
      If you believe Oklahoma won most of the games over the years because Texas has an inherent weakness against Oklahoma specifically, then you would favor Oklahoma. If you believe Oklahoma won most of the games primarily because they were the better team, then you would favor Texas. Unless for some reason you would argue Oklahoma is the better team this year, which is a hard argument to make.

      That's an interesting take. Saban lost 10 starters year after year after year and continued to maintain a high standard of play. I'm not saying Texas is Alabama, that's not what I am saying. Texas has a long way to go to achieve that standard. But, I will challenge you that a team can lose 10 starters in todays environment of NIL, the Portal, etc and still play at a very high level; in fact, in todays environment a team can lose 10 starters and replace them and be a better team. I think Texas did that and if you break it down one can see it. Now, that does not necessarily translate into a Win / loss record but a Team can improve after losing 10 starters. Gotta do the homework though. Have to Focus! Have to think independently and leave the emotional biases to the side. Can you do that? Probably not. Good Luck!

      @laser501 21 день назад +4

      I agree. I would also like to add that we are returning quite a few starters aswell.
      The vast majority O-Line is back, Ewers is back. We lost Brooks, but retain Baxter, and Blue, and an overall very solid RB room. Development is what got 13 players drafted in the first place, so it's safe to assume most our returning players are improved from a season ago. With our returning, and improved players, plus holes filled in the transfer portal, it's very reasonable to assume we're going to either match, or improve from last season.

    8-4, best will be 9-3 can’t see them beating Georgia or Michigan and OU is 50/50 which they lost last year to with a supposedly better team so they will most likely lose to us (OU) again, don’t care about the rest of their schedule as they had close games they won in the B12 so they will probably lose those in the SEC but nobody is afraid of Ewers and their makeshift WR corp they just got

      Since you know so much of our depth chart, quickly tell me the names of any Interior DL on the depth chart that are highly likely to get drafted in the NFL? Hell you can give me 0 or any name that will be taken in next years draft in the top-3 rounds.
      I will I’ll wait for your informed response 😅!

      That’s why Texas was out picking up multiple guys in the portal at DT because they didn’t have enough depth. Whoever Texas tight end is now is not JT sanders and the WR’s now don’t have the continuity with Ewers as Whittington and Worthy did. I don’t see Texas being anywhere near as good as last season.
