Recently dusted my old backup set of mp-64’s off, still beauties! Those feel so buttery and still in pristine cond. But… at 60, there are just better options for my aging game. Feel fortunate to have turned on to Mizuno long ago. Great video, thanks!
Thanks for this review, Andrew. I really appreciate your opinion and how you went about the testing of these golf clubs. I love seeing videos when they come out, buddy. I missed the whole days when videos were regular! I hope the family is well!
I've gamed some Mizuno JPX 923 Tour and Titleist T100 irons over the past several years and I'm shocked by how forgiving they are. I'll occasionally hit it on the flat metal toe or the very bottom groove and it'll still carry ~90% of the same distance somehow
I still game tm rsi1's that are 10 years old. Absolutely nothing wrong with them! So many older clubs that can still stand up against with today's clubs.
Best older Taylormade iron for me was the RAC LT. Not sure if I feel that way because I was playing really well when I had them or I was playing really well because I had them.
One thing I noticed with the MC's is that your decent angles were significantly better and looked much more playable. I mean with the 7 iron you had a decent angle of 38 vs 24 with the tacomo. That's not insignificant especially when you are talking about "good shots". I think to when you play more baked out or firmer green conditions in your breaking videos, and that MC definitely seems to be providing more hold as a combo of spin and decent. Even looking at the full array of shots there are some really strange numbers from the takomos ( shot 6 with the 7 iron -21 degrees of launch, 134 apex and 8 degrees decent?)
Unfortunately, the angle of descent readings on the EYE MINI are very “off and inconsistent” shot to shot. I really can’t pay attention to it, it’s something they are working to fix in their firmware
@@andrewjensengolf ah that makes a lot of sense. I was looking at that and I couldn’t figure out what that total ball flight would look like, high but landing like an airplane haha

I would definitely like to see you play a round with these classic clubs! They still hold up well to the current stuff.
Yeah, might have to do the whole bag from 2012!
I’m still playing the CB and I really want the MC/MB
Still have my 2012 MB, love them when I am hitting it pure

Have a set of the tp mc 4-p that I'm tempted to reshaft and start playing again
Excellent as always 🥃
Cheers mate 🥃
300 forged were the bomb for me!
Would love to see a break 60 with the older clubs! Great work as ever!
I’m really tempted to do it with the entire set from 2012 (I just don’t have the 3W anymore👎🏼)
What launch monitor are you using? No Mevo+ anymore?
I’ve been using the EYE MINI for most all of my testing these last few months, but sprinkle in the Mevo+ or MLM2PRO from time to time
I’ve had three sets and I’m needing another. Tougher and tougher to find on eBay these days
Tour preferred mixed set mb/cb set hard to beat I can’t let them go
Those 2014 models were 👌🏼

I was a titleist player at that time, but those irons sure were nice to look it in my buddies bags!
I still have a set I played in high school they are sweet. Play T100 ‘23 but always think about going back to them.
I gotta tell you, I never ever pass up on a getting a set of these. Found a pristine set at play it again. The price has to be right.
Smart man!

Good test that validates today's technology forgiveness
Thanks 👊🏼
Daniel Berger still thinks so.
Yup!
