Also (almost) forgotten: Forsaken (developed by Probe, published by Acclaim,1998). It's a FPS in style of Descent (Parallax, Interplay 1995). Probably the best looking FPS for PS1. It was bundled with Voodoo 2 to demonstrate 3Dfx's hardware acceleration capabilities. PS1 was comparable with aforementioned PC version in visual department!
I'll never forget the commercials for Forsaken. They barely made sense and I always thought they were annoying. I had the game for 64 and loved the deathwatch mode on there.
Heart of Darkness is a great game! I love how you get the ability to shoot green energy balls, and the animation of the energi surging up through the boy's body from his shoes to his hand.

That sounds like Bushido Blade lol. I played it at a party and one of the girls played. We all thought “Oh boy. A girl (well teen) playing a fighting game. Let’s go easy on her. She picked the female fighter and the hammer. One second after the round started, she hit a button and smashed the guy in the groin with the hammer and won. The whole room laughed so hard. One aspect of the awesome Heart of Darkness, is the array of hideous demises of the hero, Andy. No punches are pulled here either, and every enemy has a unique way of dispatching our young hero. He can be flattened, torn up, absorbed, dropped of ledges, broken, burned and, most frequently, eaten.

Oh wow, imagine a modern version of Raytracers! 😂 I don't know that In the Hunt is necessarily "forgotten", since like most shooters, it's pretty expensive. Also has a cult following since it's the same developer of the Metal Slug games (the art style gives it away). The Saturn version is a bit more desirable, since it has less slowdown than the PS1 version. As usual, a nice little lineup of games selected here. 👍
Bloody Roar was a great game although Bloody Roar 2 was the masterpiece of the series. It was just as good as Tekken2 (they came about at the same time). Jade Cocoon is a must play if you like RPGs. The only downside is that it's too short. I dont think Bushido Blade is a forgotten game. It's pretty famous. Really original game. Part 2 is a bit smoother to play if you want 1vs1.
I never heard of raytracers before. It plays like Burnout and Split Second. It also has real-time relfections. Amazing.

How could you not show us the skating Monkey and Ninja? :(
Im going to have to replay bushido blade. Loved it as a kid
Same here man! One of the greats!
Gundam battle assault is one of my favorite games. The gameplay here was very slow compared to what its really like.
I. Need. Bloody. Roar.
And like most of the other games you’ve mentioned haha
incredible video as usual.
Thanks!
Gotta say, you know how to pick the right thumbnail😂
That tekken intro song 🔥
Such a nostalgic tune!
