Cool. Old Bald Baldy. Great location and wonderful video, Clint and Melody. Love your music and enthusiasm. All the park personnel and volunteers at Garner are friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend hiking and camping at this location. The last time we were at Garner State Park, I woke the birds up when hiking the trail up the hill to get pictures of sunrise. When you have a chance, check my video on this location from a few years ago....
Visited this park over Father’s Day weekend. This park was amazing with trails and fun things to do inside the park. Definitely one of our favorite parks to visit in Texas.
Been goin to Garner since I was a pup. Sometime you guys need to stay a week or 2 there. The people that you meet, nature, dance floor--its a super park. When we had young children, we walked up old baldy only to be turned away by feral hogs. These ferocious wild creatures will attack just for fun, it seems and they are "pack" crazy. You lived out my dream of getting to the top. Thanks. Melody, you need to rub some arnica on that ankle. The soreness will be history. About noisy people, well they're everywhere. They just don't know that they're in "paradise". You could knock 'em in the head with the beauty of it all and they still wouldn't realize it. But, you were there and that's what counts. Maybe we can get them to turn around, so-to-speak and "smell the flowers". Another fine trip, thanks for bringin me along. ATB, Jb.
We own Leki Trekking poles, but they get in the way of our camera operation. We use them on strenuous hikes like Buffalo River trail in Arkansas and Guadalupe Peak. We have videos of both. Believe me. We use em more than we show. Thank you for the comment.
lisa Ramirez Thank you Lisa! They have stayed open regardless based on the facebook updates I have seen. Have a great time. We want to go again and do another episode on some other attractions there. Stay tuned
I just got back last night, my 25th year going. Luckily were out of the drought, so we floated the river and had alot of fun hiking the old baldy and the old horse and foshee trail. Glad you guys enjoyed it, when I make my similar channel, (outdoor exploring of sorts) i'll keep you posted, you might enjoy us as my gf and I enjoyed you. Are you guys located in tx all the time? I'm about to hit your channel to see what kinda other stuff you got going on in there. Happy camping brother!
Ricardo Santos IV Thanks for watching and commenting. Another video going up very soon. We live in Austin and we camp and hike on average of 3 to 4 nights in a given week. As long as we can keep it within a 3 - 4hr (max) drive into work strait from camping. Somehow managing to hold full time jobs in the process. We admit to being addicted to the outdoors. Explore our channel by all means. We work hard on it. Good luck with your upcoming project. Looking forward to seeing what you got going on and we love keeping the community growing.
i recently went up the white rock cave trail not knowing it was one of the more treacherous trails and i actually went off the trail and climbed past the cave and while it was crazy dangerous due to the steepness of the hill and loose rock and cacti everywhere, the view from the top was so worth it. i would definitely climb that trail again
+txrepgirl Thanks! Somewhere in the neighborhood of 6 - 7 miles I do believe. Melody's ankle wasn't fully healed on this hike, so we kept it reasonable. Stay tuned as we have much more on the editing table and will be working hard to get em out.
We do love Enchanted Rock. It's very crowded these days, so off season is best time to visit. Hopefully we'll get back out there soon. Thanks for watching
What's access like for this? It doesn't appear to be part of the state park. Specifically I would like to know the property owner because I'm interested in this cliff for rock climbing and if it's at all allowable.
+Kim Chi When we did this trip all I had was a Sony Action Cam AS100v. Kinda like a go pro, but with better audio. Now we use a HDR-PJ670 with optical stab for filming. I use the action cam for time lapse. My wife uses a Nikon d3200 for photography. Thanks for watching and have a great Sunday.
We have amazing leki poles. Too hard to film with trekking poles. We only use poles if we're carrying over 30lbs on our backs. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I hope that you reported the construction to the park police. If it were a generator one would would have been told to turn it off or leave. The cussing was uncalled for...
So cool! I'm going next week for my birthday and I can't wait!!!!

No camping for me though, I got a cute little cabin. I can't sleep hot🥵
I'm a little bit of a princess LOL

It's a great place. If you can go during the week it's even better. Less crowded and you basically have it all to yourself.
Cool video.! Thanks.!!
I love these videos and I specially love the music. Please keep them coming!!

Nice video. We took a break in that same spot on old baldy last summer and will likely do it again in about a month from now.
Sleestak68 Cool. It was our first time there. We tend to avoid crowds so we got lucky on this one. Summer at this place is going to be fun though
I hiked up to crystal cave once.
nice video guys thanks
Y'all need to hike with some hiking sticks that wat you keep your balance coming down a hill.

looks like a fun hike!
Loved the video. We're going less than 2 weeks. Just kind of worried we might not be able to go due to weather.

We would give anything to be back in nature right now. Feel your pain.
I think I might try to conquer Old Baldy as well.

Thank You.
+Stan McCord Our pleasure. Thank you for subscribing! Plenty of videos on the way.

Great video. You two did a great job. How many miles was the entire hike ?
+txrepgirl Thanks! Somewhere in the neighborhood of 6 - 7 miles I do believe. Melody's ankle wasn't fully healed on this hike, so we kept it reasonable. Stay tuned as we have much more on the editing table and will be working hard to get em out.
bad ass....when is a good time to go? ( during the week but what month)
Andres Natalino I'd say this month or next month before College gets out
thx
How long is the hike to old baldy
It's been years since we did that, but I'd say about three miles to the top.
Hey!How long was the hike?
Roughly around 5 miles. We would have gone further but her ankle was broken during that hike so we cut it a little short.
enchanted rock is my favorite isnt it
We do love Enchanted Rock. It's very crowded these days, so off season is best time to visit. Hopefully we'll get back out there soon. Thanks for watching
@@StateParkers Enchanted Rock is really crowded. Not fun. Not very many Texans
I go to garner state every summer
Same.

rushthezeppelin it is the main attraction. Part if the park. Call garner and ask for the superintendent.
Hi, what kind of camera/lens did you use in the video? :)

Thank you for checking us out. More on the way.
I see you didn't find Ice Box Cave...
You really need poles or a real good stick!!!!!!!
