I found out that expert mode is better than normal mode a few days ago and now doremy has just used that to destroy the revives wr. I'll get over 20 soon so hopefully it's a good battle between us once I live past 12-13 minutes.
this is the new mode called "quick play 2" or "zenith" where you can climb a tower as high as possible. there is a duo mode (which is supporter only, though non-supporters can play by getting invited by one) in which you climb together when one player tops out, the other has to complete specific conditions to "revive" their teammate and keep playing. this video has my teammate topout immediately so i can grind as much revives as possible in a single run. there is an achievement that tracks the most amount of revives performed in a single "duo" run, and i have the world record on it as i'm writing this post (23) hope this helped! 👍
@@Doremy Very interesting! I could totally see this becoming its own separate mode, something like "tasks mode". Granted, I don't know how garbage is handled here so maybe it would have to be reworked a little bit, but I could totally see this being available without having to have a duo partner essentially "throw" to attempt this record/challenge.
@@franciscodelico Generally speaking, you will receive garbage from the players of the same floor, but as you move up floors, you will also receive garbage from players of the other floors as well.
Hey doremy, ik you don’t know this but you were the person to get me into modern Tetris and tetrio! Without you I wouldn’t have even known tetrio existed and wouldn’t have climbed all the way to ss rank. Thank you❤(also I was there to watch this run live)😊
Out of curiosity. Would a true Perfect Clear count for the Color Clear task? In a setup like the one you had, could you use an I-Piece to get two Clears in a row?
would it? ignoring existing pieces or garbage, if you want to clear 40 lines, you'll need to put down 100 pieces minimum, regardless of how many lines you'd clear at on any given piece drop. compared to lining it out, I'd think setting up tetrises would be riskier and take longer. what do you see as the benefit?
@@SoulSukkur good players generally are faster at stacking for quads because they can keep a consistent well in a designated column and therefore can maintain a cleaner stack. when constantly clearing singles, the "well" often changes if there even is one at all and a lot of the time the board is spiky and messy making it harder to place pieces quickly. this is one of the reasons 6-3 stacking is generally preferred for top level sprints, but for the reason doremy mentioned, it isn't done here.
climbing is minimized by keeping apm as low as possible, the only time stuff like tspins/quads (would make you climb faster) are done is to survive or fufill revive requirements
Quick Play (Duo) mode. It allows you to play as partners to climb the tower. In duo mode, you can revive players by completing a series of challenges. This is only available as Quick Play 2 for the current season.

amazing. the setup for two consecutive L/J is pretty cool, saw that repeated a lot. And also the lack of climbing was a sight to see
It’s been a while since I’ve seen the content. Feels good to be back.
Insane revive run, and in an expert mode too. God damn

Yes, a Perfect Clear fulfills the Color Clear.
Why do you primarily clear singles for the “Clear 40 Lines” task? I would naturally think quads would be preferred
minimizes climbing, as you don't want to climb the tower too much to avoid receiving as much garbage in higher floors
I see. Thanks for the reply.
