Welcome back to Episode 3 of Magical Kitchen! Hopefully I made Aunt Petunia proud... "Aunt Petunia’s masterpiece of a pudding, a mountain of cream and sugar violets, was floating up near the ceiling. On top of a cupboard in the corner crouched Dobby." "The pudding fell to the floor with a heart-stopping crash. Cream splattered the windows and walls as the dish shattered. With a crack like a whip, Dobby vanished."
You could also twist the end where the tip is and the place it in a glass and fold down the end over the outside of the glass, it will also help with filling the piping bag. If you need to stiffen the whip cream, try putting a teaspoon of cream of tartar in. It works with egg whites, it should work with whipping cream.
Imagine Petunia going through the same trouble and having the cake destroyed by dobby I finally understand her a little bit better. 5 hours? 5 hours for a cake? I would be pissed to find it flat on the ground too
Also, I learned that if you put the cream in plastic wrap, roll it up and cut the end; After that, put it in the piping bags and it supposed to come out easier. Not sure if it's a good tip. Love the cake. I'm watching this while I'm home sick.
Ahahaha omg why did I not think of this?! I just watched her fudge video where she says, " Make it BLUE", and thought of them changing the dress color 😂
@@amletoguarino4452 once you put the tip on the bag put the bag tip side down into a glass and fold the excess part of the bag over the side of the glass. It helps keep it nice and level to add your icing in

Cherry, loved the video! - A tip for piping stuff (because it ALWAYS goes everywhere!): Grab a drinking glass and put the bag in it, tip down. Fold the bag over the edges of the glass so it's open and supported. Spoon whatever you're piping into the now open bag and tie it off!! For frosting, you can take cling wrap and lay it flat, put the frosting in the center and wrap/spin it like a candy. Then feed one end through the tip and snip the plastic! You can pull the wrap out of the bag and it's so much easier to clean!
If you put the piping bags in a cup when you are filling it makes it a little bit easier. You can either bag the tip or just fold it so it won't push through. or even putting the cream and or frosting on some plastic wrap, wrap it up so it's like a little tube of cream or frosting then feed it through the pipping back and cut the end of the plastic wrap when ready to used. I think it came out looking really nice! The colors were pretty with the little pops of red and the flowers!!
I am really confused - double cream whips up fine right? I have never bought whipping cream and just whip up double cream for scones/banoffee pie etc 🤔
All the icing bags I get are always packs of disposable clear plastic ones, nothing could leak through them no matter what I put in them, also fold the top of the bags down before you fill them then flip it back up afterwards so the last few inches at the end stay clean and don't have anything ooze out when you twist it closed. It helps big time to stand them up in a glass so you don't have to hold them while you fill them as well. Nice end result despite your struggles lol! Hate when I'm ready to begin a recipe then realize I still have to run to the store for something.
Bless you, I used to be a cake decorater and I've never heard of the thickening sachets!? I used to just whip double cream, vanilla, few spoons of powdered Royal icing, and Gel concentrated food colouring , never liquid food colouring, as they are weak and change the consistency too much. Cherry, love your channel and I am looking forward to your cooking series. I love to cook and bake. Two things that I found help me. 1) If I have a recipe that will need ingredients to be split, I work out the measurement on a piece of paper before I get started. That way I don’t need to split ingredients while preparing the batter. Fewer mistakes. Also for eggs, if you are worried about eggshells, I like to crack the eggs into a small bowl first. Easier to fish out stay shells. About raw batter? I always taste the batter. You are not alone in that 😉

I love the magic girl so keep it going xxxx
You did amazing Cherry. Love how positive you are throw out and not giving up. I wonder if the cream got to warm. But for your first time doing this you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟.
Sweetheart with the pipin bags if you take the bag and put it in a glass cup and kind of fold the rest of the bag over on the outside of the glass you actually have an easier time feelin them as crazy as that is. Hope it works for you! I loved this episode
The liquid coming out of the whipped cream is buttermilk and double cream can be used in place of whipping cream the icing sugar is just to sweeten the cream not to thicken the thickener the recipe asks for is whipped cream stabiliser so that it holds its shape for longer as whipped cream can separate if left too long
Hey cherry looks awesome! The inconsistency and wateriness in the cream might be from the lack of stiffener, or from adding too much additional water with the food coloring. You might want to get gel food coloring as it gives much more vibrant colors with a smaller amount, and it won't make the cream watery and separated. Best of luck!
Cherry, use the electric whisk to mix the batter, it'll be done in seconds haha. Also put the piping bag in a tall, thin glass and fold it down over the top of the glass, it'll make it much easier to fill. Just a couple of tips. xx
lol I love when she makes cooking videos 💖 hint . When making whip cream you have to be fast because it tends to lose its “stiffness” but glad it still came out beautiful! I might try it myself 💖
If you put your piping bags into a glass and fold down the edges over the rim of the cup, it makes it loads easier to scoop stuff into it! Just a helpful trick that I couldn't live without, thought I'd pass it on :) Love the cake!
My mom's American and she's always made homemade pudding. I've had the kind him the market though and its not bad but it's definitely not the same. And what do you mean unfortunately? USA is a wonderful place and you are lucky you live there
I give it a 9/10! As soon as you said you weren't using the thickener, I knew it would go wrong. Whipped cream doesn't stay whipped for long on its own...
10 out of 10 you are amazing! I followed along and it don't look great. Imagine... A pancake with loads of green and purple splodges! Thanks u r de best!
I am a pastry chef and cake decorator and I have to say that I'm sorry to say that that was one if the funniest videos I've ever seen. I love your chanel but this one really resonated with me. I'm so sorry that it was so challenging. I honestly have never seen liquid food colouring that was so light, i.e. that you needed so much to get so little colour into your cream. Good on you though Cherry for getting all the way through the recipe and i agree it didn't look thst bad in the end. However i do recommend if you want to keep doing these recipes and videos that you invest in a stand mixer like a kitchen aid. It will save your arms and help your batter turn out more even. Good luck
Dear Cherry, don't be too hard on yourself with that. It looks and definitely must taste delicious. Well done. I thought it was brilliant and we'll worth the 5 hours. Aunt petunia eat your heart out cuz here comes Cherry W and her 🎂 cake. 💯 points for Gryffindor!!!
Cherry I seriously love watching you do these magical cooking segments! They always make me laugh so hard and it’s great watching you adulting and learning from past mistakes and honestly I give this pudding an 8/10 you did a great job on this one!! To all the german fellas under this video: "Uh jetzt ist die Torte auf Ihrem Kopf zersplattert, aber sonst ist die noch gut, die kann man noch essen!" - coldmirror
Hey Cherry, I gave it an 8/10. I really love the content you put out and had purchased both of your boxes. I received the first one already and can't wait for the second one. Can I suggest maybe adding a few recipes to any future boxes as well like the mandrake one or anything magical related? I suggest putting the food coloring after whipping the cream, and double cream is just slightly thicker than whipping cream. and can be easy to be over whipped. not sure why so will need stiffener. The reason why your cream was leaking or watery so to speak is because it was hot in your kitchen and was melting the cream. Next time, if you are not using the cream to leave it in the fridge or place over an ice bath and that should take care of the water issue. Also, for your violet issue, try adding a little more red so that it is more vibrant, while blue will give it more of a darker tone, red it the color that will make it more purple. Have fun and keep baking. I watch a lot of baking and cooking channels here at RUclips. If anything you can always try google or searching for answers. I am a beginning cook and baker myself and I wish you the best of luck. Can you try making the sweater cookie recipe next time?
I really felt sorry for you when you found out about the cream! Bonus points for going for it and making it an amazing cake. I would love to try it for myself.

I didn’t do a mathematics degree... I did art and design lol.
lol I love when she makes cooking videos 💖 hint . When making whip cream you have to be fast because it tends to lose its “stiffness” but glad it still came out beautiful! I might try it myself 💖
“Stop shouting at me, Oven” 😂😂
If you put your piping bags into a glass and fold down the edges over the rim of the cup, it makes it loads easier to scoop stuff into it! Just a helpful trick that I couldn't live without, thought I'd pass it on :)
Love the cake!
Im an American unfortunately 🙄 where pudding comes in a cup in the supermarket with the word jello on it!!!🤣
Must have 1950 version made in sauce pan. :) SO MUCH YUM
Or Snack Pack 😋
My mom's American and she's always made homemade pudding. I've had the kind him the market though and its not bad but it's definitely not the same. And what do you mean unfortunately? USA is a wonderful place and you are lucky you live there
Haha UNFORTUNATELY its oki feel you lol
@@parisinthe30sx im just now reading this comment and im black in America still think im lucky 😭
I give it a 9/10!
As soon as you said you weren't using the thickener, I knew it would go wrong. Whipped cream doesn't stay whipped for long on its own...
I genuinely enjoyed THIS video of yours the most...I was laughing so loud girl. Keep up the good work.
10 out of 10 you are amazing! I followed along and it don't look great. Imagine... A pancake with loads of green and purple splodges! Thanks u r de best!
You'll be happy to know that in the UK if your eggs have the red lion stamp then they are safe to have raw ☺️
Good luck
I've never laughed so much! Really made my day! XD
I love how British this was!! 😂😂
Cherry I seriously love watching you do these magical cooking segments! They always make me laugh so hard and it’s great watching you adulting and learning from past mistakes and honestly I give this pudding an 8/10 you did a great job on this one!! I’m not sure what the heck was going on with the watercolors dripping out of your piping bags lol but it turned out so good!! Can’t wait for the next one I truly hope you were proud of this creation because I am and I didn’t even help 👏🏼😘👏🏼😘👏🏼😘👏🏼😘👏🏼

Das ist Liebe.
I expected this to be her favorite line out of that scene till I realized why this wouldn't be possible :(
😂😂😂
Immer wieder toll Landsleute unter englischen RUclips Videos zu finden ❤️
Hey Cherry,
I gave it an 8/10.
I would say Cherry needs a cute electric Handmixer with a cherry pattern oder cherry colour:D
I really felt sorry for you when you found out about the cream! Bonus points for going for it and making it an amazing cake. I would love to try it for myself.
