I want to make it, I only have in my workshop a Siemens LOGO and a pair of Crouzet millenium PLCs, but there is not to much info about RTU protocol with those controllers, so if you have the RTU or ASCII action chart i can help you!

Does this modbus module consider the time response of your VFD?
sorry Andrey i am not a good programmer, i have no idea how to make it... but maybe is possible making an ET loop and it could works... i really don´t need to know how much time VFD needs to response to the master, but i will try to make it
