great to watch these AJ...back in January I finally got my AGU to 0.0 for the first time in 35+ years of playing club golf, and still this shows that an albeit-temporary scratch handicap is sooooooo far removed from what you pros are doing day to day, wow. Always in awe, well played mate!
Enjoying this series SO much!... Even at this distance you have to play great; hit the ball solid and sink EVERY putt! And...OMG, your putting is EXCELLENT!
This was so good to watch! Heart in mouth stuff. More of the same please! Easy to think that ‘this is easy because he’s off the forward tees’ you’ve still got to hit great shots. 59 here you come brother!
This has been a really cool series. I love watching great golfers struggle, but we get that every year at the US Open. It's cool sometimes to watch great golfers just really attack an easier course and see how low they can go. I'd like to see other channels have a series like this, with everyone racing to break 60.
Well that was intense! Phenomenal video, Andrew I think the lack of chatter added to the drama. I groaned out loud when that eagle putt lipped out. Golf would be such an easy game if it wasn’t for those few inches... the ones between your ears 😀Great series and can’t wait for the next one, no doubt in my mind you can do it!
Great video and an awesome effort,59 is knocking on the door There is something soothing watching someone play golf with not much talking, background music and the great sound of ball striking Loving these videos
Incredible golf. I was "in the zone" for 10 days in my golf life. Only 4 times I broke par. 3 times -1 and once -4. Shot even par about 100 times, but always struggled to go red numbers. Now my goal is to break 80 and miss it most of the time.
@@adamistheabomb3 it's mainly about getting a swing you can consistently repeat so you know where your ball is going and lots of practine on & near the green. Good luck !
You should invite Peter Finch over for a break-60 challenge. He’s another pro (albeit a teaching pro) who is seriously working on his game. I enjoy following you two more than any others for that reason.
I just started the video, but i hoping you crush it. I can relate to the heat. Im about to go play a round somewhere myself and im sure its gonna be hot as crap today.
Literally just played there yesterday in a 9 hole tourney that eventually got rained out. South Hampton is a fun course. Challenging but rewarding. I feel the same way about 14. Looks fairly easy off the tee but the narrowing of the fairway and slight dogleg will leave you a tough second into the green if you hit an errant tee shot. 17 is always fun. Off the tips it takes a big swing to take that same angle between what we refer to as the "field goal." Well done.
SOOO CLOSE! see a trend? good luck on the 4th installment - all about experience! its not about having the game for it, it's all mental prep at this point...
These are the emotions I'm going through right now trying to start breaking 80 more consistently. I've shot a 79 once, but my rounds these days are in the very low 80's when playing from about 6800 yards or so. It's when I start to get 6 or 7 over that I really start thinking about all the ways I CANT mess up in order to achieve my goal, and then you do inevitably mess up because you're in your own head. It was fun to watch you express such similar emotions, only playing WAY better golf than I can. Do you think your next attempt is going to be the one where you finally break 60, or do you think you'll have a small regression after such a close call?
Man so close! 4th time is the charm ;) BTW I've been following you for years and love all your content! Wanted to let you know that you've inspired my buddies and I to start our own channel and it's been a ton of fun. Keep up the great work Andrew!
You should try practicing nine holes at a time. Get to 6 or 7 under on the front a few times, then do it on the back a few times. That way you’ll know you have it in the bag when it comes time to do a full 18. Keep it up man, loved the video!
Dude that was pretty sick you were soo close!! Question have you ever thought about changing your putting setup? I was watching you putt and I think you’d make even more if you played the ball off your left inside heel or just back of there, would allow you to putt more freely I think. Just a thought can’t wait to see the next try for 59!!
60 is superb. 59 is an epic challenge. Even though it is a shorter course (not crazy short), 59 is a stretch. You must be getting up and down from 50-100 yards circa 6 times.. And this is assuming no errant or wasted shots, three putts, bunkers etc.. 62, 61 & 60 is serious scoring. What can you do on a 6,600 yard course as that's roughly an average members course and see if you can shoot the lights out. Would you think 66 on a 6,600 course or lower... Best of luck on the 59 watch.
Excellent game!!! Played good swing was looking good! Bro you deserve the world, dont think anything els. You know your good, you know hitting a 58 or 59 isnt going to change your life by completing, hitting a 61, or 60 wont either, just go for it carefree almost, thats what im working on, i get way to nervous when im at par or a little under after 7 holes, any advice? You deserve it man, you work hard!
Thanks Bryce. You’re exactly right, the score changes nothing... if only the majority of golfers/viewers would realize that! Haha the game would be much more enjoyable for so many
Andrew Jensen EVERYONE Needs to look up the AVERAGE PGA stats, they would feel MUCH better about thier game. damnnn your soooo good at golf. i was happy with 5 over today on a shorter course then what your playing on. wish i could play golf like that, seriously good golf keep it up love this series of videos
Heads up though bud. Despite it being a short course look how good your iron game was. You were throwing darts trying for 59. Imagine how good it could be on a mini going for 67. Your game is there and it seems like your head is too. Love you bub!
"I kinda blacked out for a bit" lol. Man, that was fun to watch. I can't imagine the pressure you felt on the last few holes knowing you had a chance to do it.
Yeah it was a strange feeling. If I’m honest, I didn’t think I would do it in the first two tries so i just rolled it. Getting to 10 under through 14 made it seem so feasible... hopefully can close better next time 💪🏼
@@andrewjensengolf putting yourself in the position to accomplish it is step number 1 and you executed very well to get there. Great to put yourself under physical and mental duress. You will surely grow from this challenge. Love this series man!

Thanks brother
