- Here is the second half of my dashcam video Plowing to the North Gate. It starts at my turn around spot and take us back to the plow shed just in time for shift change. Please leave a comment if you'd like to see more realtime plow videos and thanks for watching!
Here I am again, watching a guy plow a road for an hour
Thanks for watching! It's better than going out driving around on slippery roads, lol.
I watch this vid maybe twice a week ,,,so calming to have someone else drive. Sometimes I get the smell of diesel just watching lol Great Job you got.
Glad you enjoyed it! Wish I could take you riding shotgun some time! Thanks for watching!
I never knew these trucks are 6 wheel drive. Hey, what brand of truck is the W ?
very nice and harsh winters you have there, here in europe winters are far from what they used to be,much warmer than it's supossed to be
I don't know if it is possible, but a shot of the snow from the top dump bed tailgate might be pretty awesome? It would be cool to see how far you can toss the snow on those deserted stretches...... How the snow rolls off the main and the side plows while seeing what is coming too.
Good idea! I just ordered a new GoPro Maxx 360 camera so you can expect a lot of cool new views this winter!
Looks a lot like where I live in Maine
Beautiful scenery ,nice that you get to enjoy so much of it.
Stay warm and keep the roads open .
Thank you! I am blessed to live in such a beautiful province and really do enjoy the scenery all around me!
No wing shots or plow shots
😡
Nice scenery, nice snow, but with that big rig, looks a little tight when you get into town. LOL
You got that right! People in town love to swing their doors open without looking too. Had a few close calls.
@@JimHowDigsDirt I would always be afraid of clipping a parked car or something with that big plow, especially if you have the plow on the side, to push the snow on over to the side of the road.
That’s like watching paint dry.
Why would you watch paint dry? Never tried that, lol.
Is this in Yellowstone National Park
This in Nova Scotia on the east coast of Canada!
@@JimHowDigsDirt oh ok Ty
That turbo sounds awesome. Just there whistling away 😁👍
We like to whistle while we work! It makes the Cat purr!
Must be snowing rather hard, the other side of the road looks like you forgot to use the blade. =)
Yeah, I know it looks like that. Sometimes it feels like you can never get ahead of the snow!
I love these videos, just laid back and cool to watch you do your thing! Merry Christmas
25:50 Was that a car or a chainsaw ? Sounded more like a chainsaw. LOL
Too funny lol! I think buddy needs to invest in some winter tires!
JimHowDigsDirt or a new vehicle.
Nerd Garage That’s what we invest on the winter ❄️ tyres! We always use the winter tyres for the snow ploughs and the ploughshares that cut through the snowy days and nights.
Each ploughshare cuts through the snow ⛄️.
You know the other drivers have had a long shift when they get someone's attention..get the go ahead to talk...and they're like..'UHHHHHhhhhhhhh...'
We all know that feeling! The brain tends to slow down after a long shift.
Sara Llewellyn . My longest day in the plow truck - 37.5 hrs . Then i slept for 14hrs.
Oh hell yeah this was amazing felt like i was right beside ya lol kudos drivers
Thank you! Be sure to come back for more rides in the snowplow this winter.
Bring on the videos mate. Its great inspiration for us rookie plow truck operators
Glad it can be of some help to you newbies! I know it can be pretty intimidating the first few times you head down the road and can't see where the centre line is on the road. Practice makes perfect! Thanks for watching!
Bring on the videos, mate. It’s great inspiration for us, rookie plough truck operators.
Whats up with the occassional alarm[?] tone ?
Shhh! That's an alarm that goes off when you go over 70 kilometers an hour! We are not supposed to plow any faster than that, but sometimes you need to just to keep up your momentum for the hills.
@@JimHowDigsDirt I didn't hear a thing. You should get that fixed. =)
I understand the momentum thing well. I'm one of those old skool drivers that actually knows how to make a vehicle do things without all the modern widgets. Give me a clutch and a low gear and get out of my way. =)
The first vid I saw was you in a 6x6 western star busting through big snow drift & there was a wing , then where you went to plow out for a stuck semi & you had a wing . Did someone steal it off your truck ? Haven’t seen one since
The county roads we plowed if you got to 30mph you were moving , a lot more crooked & hilly than this .
Snow rolling off the end of the wing is impressive
I always have a wing on the truck. I feel lost without it!
Hey, so, would you be mad if I told mother nature to keep all the snow over there?
I will take all the snow you can send me, just don't send any freezing rain, lol.
@@JimHowDigsDirt I dont want any of that freezing rain either, I'll try to air mail it to Vancouver, the driving on ice compilations amuse me.
Yeah...since they don't get much snow they can have all the freezing rain , lol.
We still have some snow ❄️ when it comes from the freezing rain 🌧.
What kind of camera system are you using?
I just used a cheap DOD dashcam for this footage but I also have a couple GoPro4 Silver editions I use outside the truck.
JimHowDigsDirt Thanks for the response.
Good Job :)
Thank you Dave!
I love that engine growl!!! Please do lots more like this, but with your radio off, so I can have pure engine sound, and please make them as long as possible, with no glitches in the sound. Please let me know ASAP.
I will post more videos for you but I will be driving a new Mack Truck this winter!
What’s the engine and transmission in the new Mack?
The new truck has a Mack engine and transmission. The engine is an MP8 putting out 505 HP and behind it a mDrive HD 12 speed automated manual transmission. It's a very nice truck to drive!
JimHowDigsDirt I bet it is. When will there be videos of it?
Hopefully in the next few weeks.
VERY P00R VIDEO ALL YOU SEE IS THE CAB VIEW.
I never knew that this snow plow had a Jake Brake! 😍
