I don’t understand why networks don’t have political debates with a First Take style format. It would be so popular. Having Will Cain and SAS debate politics would be awesome. I know networks would never do that though bc they like having echo chambers but man I wish SAS and Will Cain created a podcast together. It would be as popular as Joe Rogan.

This was great. Two intelligent people with very different opinions on certain issues, calmly discussing and learning from each other. I learned a lot about where both are coming from. I wish this was the way it always was.
And that's not a shot at the network. I'm saying I wish all networks had more of this.

@@billymadison4903 I’ve never been a big fan but I have a lot of respect for someone that works hard and overcomes some big hurdles to be successful. The fact that his own dad told him he wasn’t going to amount to anything, and he went on to be a very successful commentator is inspiring. I don’t agree with a lot of stuff he says, but I like that he has the courage to come onto these shows, engage in some healthy debate, and walk away still maintaining civility. We should all strive to debate this way and maybe we can find some common ground.

I always thought the same idea but like Stephen A. said in the beginning Will would be getting ripped throughout most segments on the show lol. Always enjoyed Will on ESPN especially after Skip’s departure but since then he’s nothing but exceptional at what he does at Fox

Always thought Stephen A liked Will more than Max Kellerman
First Take is Steven's show. Cain wouldn't be there if SAS ain't like him. Will Cain was needed to balance out Max Kellerman's super liberal wokeness.

I can see sas getting tired of will pretty quickly if he had to deal with it on a daily basis. My 2 cents
Sas has final say on who comes onto first take so without his permission those debates never would have happened. Shephen a is smart when it comes to who he allows onto his show

I miss Will Cain on ESPN. I did not always agree with him, but he consistently made compelling points. He was the only one to go against the ESPN status quo and challenge thier thought process. Sports needs him

Many/most black Americans are ‘conservative’. Most goto church and espouse conservative views and values. The strong majority of black folks do not vote Republican, because of the GOP’s embrace of division and basic racism since the southern strategy in 1968.

As much as I can’t stand some of the things that Stephen A says and as annoying as he can be at times, It’s almost impossible to not come away with a level of respect for him as a man and as a personality. He’s one of the very few people left at espn I can appreciate.

Will’s beef with Max made Will look angry because those two were on two different ends of the spectrum. Max was so liberal it made Will seem extremely biased.

Excellent discussion and "open dialogue." Wow! If only our Congress and White House would "work together" like you guys do. At one time, there was an "open dialogue" between the two parties, not any more. The "far right" and the "far left" are too busy verbally attacking each other and fighting for power and control while totally ignoring "we the people."

Yep. Both parties have deviated from what they were back even 20 years ago. Now they are too busy both pointing the finger at each other while they only work together to give themselves their raises to "match inflation" while the rest of America suffer.

I have full custody of son . I've been the Mom and the Dad a lot of his life . I was raised by my Momma alone . It's better to have two loving parents in the home . Women are special and bring something special to the table ,and so do good men .
Really glad to see Stephan A’s perspective, very smart guy and obviously he is going to have his own opinions and looks on the matters that are going on, but he will always hear out your side.
I loved this !!!!!! I use to watch these two on ESPN . It's awesome to hear the honest perspective of these two on there personal relationshipsl with each other and with there family. It's also awesome to hear them speak on there outlook on the industry and social issues.
Steven A had my respect by 4 minute mark. I think some of his personality comes out on TV but I also think a lot of it is for show.
