Only ppl this effected was him and his mother and it was buried a while ago and they moved on, but little nit's like you have to make sure it gets brought up on every post. Only a few things in life that can't be forgiving Nonces and Killers his mother made a statement and said if danny wasn't on drugs he would never have dud it in a million years, drugs over ride people a lot of the time, judge the man clean and sober not the man drugged up and on a bad path.

Danny looked out of his depth. Yeh he can fight for sure but punch resistance wasn't there. First shot stiffened him second and 3rd broke him. Referee 💯 right to stop it

Danny was far tooo eager to engage in that fight. But for me punch resistance was not there so not sure if camp went to plan but looked like he had nothing in the tank to withhold that punches. Gutted for him. This fight does not define you. Keep your head up buddy.

Excellent, knowledgeable preview, young Matt. In our game, as you know, it's not always the hardest most aggressive lad who comes out on top, I haven't watched a great deal of bk since the 70's, to be honest, but what I have seen makes me think that the opposite may be true in bk discipline? I've only seen 1 of Danny's performances, a straightener in a gym against someone we all know, and he looked a hard bastard, but with some decent skill. Want to see this fight now, thanks to you 😂

@mattlegg1976 I wrote to the bbbofc, the boxing news, and the wba, after the Mancini vs Kim fight, saying that, instead of reducing title fights from 15 rounds to 12, we should make pro boxing bareknuckle, my theory being, that it would naturally reduce the length of fights, increase facial.and hand injuries (which would reduce the number of fights per annum that a pro could take part in) and would definitely reduce brain and cortex injuries. I was drinking a lot back then, and, at the time, I regretted sending the letters. Now I'm not so sure.

i think this is a " cant call it " fight for me Matt, Danny is quite easy to hit at times, he steams forward and often forgets he needs head and lateral body movement, i think it will come down to can Danny Take Jareds power. If so i think then that if Dannys old cuts dont reopen, i think he walks Jared down and Kos him.

Take my hat off to these bare knuckle fighters, boxing is tough enough, but this is next level.
It’s tough but not as skilled by far
Very very short lived career, most fighters will be at the end of their career or fighters that haven’t made it in boxing/ mma .
Some of the facial injuries are for life, you can get more damage in one fight than a whole career in mma or boxing
Why gloves were introduced in the first place...
The drawings & paintings of Figg, Crib, Molyneux etc. Those fellas heads, noses & ears were just scar tissue on top of scar tissue... let alone hand damage.
Hard game, when you think one round went til an opponent fell or took a knee.. not 100% but l believe one fight went 147 rnds over a few hours!
Why is there so meny keyboard worriers on here if u dont like him and think he needs bringing down and got alot to say then call him out wen he excepts ur call out bet u all go silent most if u lot to worryed about messing up ur hair let alone taking a dig to the face nuff said

Matt I'm a big fan of yours and the channel , but everytime you do any training or sparring you tell us that you 21 stone and out of shape, or you could of done better.
Mate starting getting some of this weight down, if you can knock of 2 stone you'll feel like a new man, you'll be in a much better place mentally and have way more energy.
Get if down now while you're still young.

Hi Matt... it's Pope here...in your opinion do you think that as a heavyweight it would help to prepare for a fight against another heavyweight if you sparred with a hard hitting middle weight? obviously I don't know but it just seems like a good idea as it must increase your speed and reaction time and if you can get used to landing shots on a quicker opponent and defend against his faster jabs it would be an advantage against a bigger but slower boxer??? have you done this when you have been preparing for a fight?? Don't mean to butt in on your question to Matt mate, but as a lad ld spar fellas up to Welter & Middle to speed their reflexes up, so it's definitely done at gyms...
Mind you, it wasn't hard sparring...l was only Lightweight dripping wet!
I think height and range play a big part in it. Most HWs would tower over most MWs so would be punching down. LH or CW would be a better option

To be honest I've watched it three times and I just don't think Danny looked up for it.

Regardless of how he lost I just couldn’t believe it when he stormed off at the end. People keep saying things like “oh he let his emotions get the better of him” or “he wasn’t thinking straight” - bullshit. He told the referee to “fuck off” then threw his dummy out of the pram and stormed off. No excuse for that. Left his opponent in the ring on his own, no handshake, no congratulatory claps for him. Nothing. Bad, bad sportsmanship. It’s ok apologising now but it means nothing. It’s already been done, you can’t turn the clock back.
I didn't realise he'd apologised.
But of course sportsmanship is an important part of it
