Premium Genetics Brahman cow sets record in South Africa

A record is not broken every day, and certainly not by a female animal! S tud animals from twelve studs and one guest seller from all over South Africa attracted attention to the Premium Genetic auction, which was held on 19 November 2022 at Castle de Wildt outside of Nylstroom.
One of the highlights was a top Brahman cow, lot 8, from the Potchefstroom-based Serfbred Brahman stud.
Carla de Kock, a co-owner of the Serfbred Brahman Stud, declares, "We are extremely proud to have sold lot 8 for R1.2 million to Marius de Beer from Keerom Brahmane." "The auction itself was top notch, and the animals up for bid were the best of the best."
