വിഗ്രഹം ആരാധിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് പറയുമ്പോൾ അതിന്ടെ പിന്നിൽ ഉള്ള തത്വവും കൂടി മനസ്സിൽ ആക്കണം.ഇസ്ലാമിന് മുൻപ് അറബികളും 360 ഓളം വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ ആരാധിച്ചിരുന്ന അല്ലോ.
എപ്പോൾ പെട്ടെന്ന് അതുവരെ ദൈവത്തിനു വിഗ്രഹാരാധന പ്രശ്നമില്ല ആയിരുന്നു.പിന്നീട് ദൈവം വിഗ്രഹാരാധന എതിർക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി,പ്രവാചകന്മാരിൽ ലൂടെ എന്നർത്ഥം.
എന്നാല് വിഗ്രഹാരാധന ഉണ്ടാകാൻ കാരണം അതിനു മുൻപ് ഒക്കെ ഉള്ള വിശ്വാസം ദൈവം സകല ജീവികളിലും സൂക്ഷ്മ രൂപത്തിൽ കുടികൊള്ളുന്നു.മാത്രമല്ല ജീവനില്ലാത്ത വസ്തുക്കളിലും കൂടി ദൈവം അതി സൂക്ഷ്മ രൂപത്തിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു.അതുകൊണ്ടാണ് അവയ്ക്ക് നിലനിൽക്കാൻ സാധിക്കുന്നത്.ഇല്ലെങ്കിൽ അവക്ക് ഒന്നും നിലനിൽക്കാൻ കൂടി സാധ്യം എല്ലാ എന്നാണ്.
അതുകൊണ്ടാണ് ഇഷ്ട്ടപ്പെട്ട രൂപം വച്ച് പണ്ടുള്ളവർ അവയെ ആരാധിച്ചിരുന്നത്.അവയെ നിരന്തരം ആരാധിക്കും തോറും അവയിൽ ദൈവിക ശക്തി വർദ്ധിച്ചു വരും എന്നാണ് പൂർവ്വികർ വിശ്വസിച്ചിരുന്നത്.
അതിപ്പോഴും ചിലർ പറയുന്നത് കേൾക്കാം മാതാവ് മരിയത്തിന് മുന്നിൽ പള്ളിയിൽ മെഴുക് തിരി കത്തിച്ച് പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു അസുഖം മാറി.
അല്ലെങ്ങിൽ ഗുരുവായൂരപ്പന് മുന്നിൽ വഴിപാട് ചെയ്തു കല്യാണം നടന്നു എന്നെല്ലാം.
ഹൈന്ദവ ശാസ്ത്ര പ്രകാരം ദൈവം രൂപത്തിലും രൂപമില്ലാതെയും നിലനിൽക്കാൻ ശക്തൻ ആണ്.മനുഷ്യൻ എത് വിധത്തിൽ ദൈവതതെ പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചാലും ദൈവത്തിനു ഒരു പ്രശ്നവും ഇല്ല.
വെറുതെ ദൈവം പരമ കാരുനികൻ ആണെന്ന് പറച്ചിൽ എന്നല്ലാതെ ദൈവം വിഗ്രഹത്തെ ആരാധിച്ചാൽ ദൈവം കോപിക്കും!
