EXCELLENT COMPARISON GRAMPS - THEY BOTH HAVE FANTASTIC VOICES !!!!! I WANT TO SUGGEST THAT YOU COMPARE A COUPLE OF YOUNG GIRLS SINGING " HOW GREAT THOU ART " and THEY ARE :
JACKIE EVANCHO
LAURA BRETAN
ANGELINA JORDAN
AMIRA WILLIGHAGEN
THIS SHOULD MAKE A GREAT COMPARISON !!!!!!!
THANKS GRAMPS

Ok thanks
Sissel, all day long. In a league of her own. Sarah, too pretentious.
Ok I can see that. thanks
I heard more verbrato in Sarah's voice. I preferred Sissel's rendition.
These are 2 excellent performances but are different from each other mainly because Sarah uses more vibrato. I highly recommend that you react to Lucy and Martha Thomas's angelic version which is absolutely stunning.
I agree.
Apples and oranges
I prefer Sarah Brightman just because this piece and the complete Requiem Mass was written around her voice and she was the first one. She premiered this work in 1984 with Placido Domingo in London and New York. But Sissel is a wonderful singer and I love her duet with Brian May "What are we made of"
I prefer Sarah as well.
