In this video we overview the HORNED BABOON TARANTULAS (C sanderi, C darlingi and C marshalli) in each of our collections and briefly explain their behavior and how we choose to house them. The Horned Baboon Tarantulas are an Old World species, so it is recommended you don't keep one until you've gained some experience due to their venom potency. With all that said, if you are looking into keeping your first Old World, this is a great, detailed video on what to expect from these guys. Special thank you to Reptiliatus, Exotics Lair, Jon3800, Andrew's Tarantulas, Tarantula Dan and Tarantula Haven for contributing
Tarantula Kat loved the video, i was already thinking about keeping a tarantula for years ever since my interest was awoken in highschool i was one of the few girls who loved reptiles and creepy crawly’s (i was in a school for animal care and raised a few tarantula’s) I hope that by spring upcoming year i finally get my first tarantula at home You inspire me to want to start and document my own journey on RUclips You are amazing❤️
These videos are awesome! I would love to see more of them :) My favourite species to see in this kind of videos would be Hapalopus sp. Colombia large, Theraphosa, King Baboon and Cyriocosmus.
I love and have been subscribed to all your collabs today. And I really love and hope to get every one of this genre of T's. I absolutely love them. I believe I'll name my Marshalli Uni just to be corny, lol. Great video Kat, loved it!!!! Tyfs God bless you
Excellent guide. I’m looking into starting a small collection, so it’s nice seeing different spiders from the same species. I want a Singapore blue badly...but I know my lack of experience means I should look at a GBB or Pink Zebra Beauty
Nice videos. I can't get any pets until I move out of student accommodation, it breaks my heart. This is all I have right now, and your videos are where I see myself in 2 years. Thanks :) cool tattoos by the way. What is your rarest or most expensive tarantula?
Some of the rarest tarantulas are Typhochlaena Seladonia (probably the most expensive one), Pamphobeteus Solaris, Pamphobeteus Ultramarinus and Ornithoctoninae sp. ho chi minh😊
I just fed my Darlingi sling the other day. It got scared, ran out of the enclosure, and right at me. Then it vanished. So my Darlingi owned my room for a short while. Finally found it in a shirt lol. I want to get one of the new ones they just recently found. It has a long limpy horn
Just got a straight horned baboon sling yesterday! Any tips? We have an Arizona blonde sling as well. Also have a sub adult stripped knee, and a sub adult metallic pink toe
I love these videos! Please make more! Maybe a grammostola one next? :) also, exotics lair‘s attitude towards male T‘s always throws me off... he’s always so disappointed when his males mature like c‘mon man.. these guys keep our hobby going! Show them some love! Imagine what I’d be like with less males, with females eating males often sometimes without even giving us an eggsack.. yeah males deserve love!! :(
horned tarantulas are weird no one can say why they have horns. but they must have them for a reason. and no one can say why theyre called baboons either :D
This video was very good. But it is also much more important than anything else, if you plan to get in the hobby, to be aware that OBTs and King Baboons are with out a doubt the best tarantulas for beginners. They are extremely docile and rarely feel threatened. And even rarerly will be defensive. Their venom is extremely mild and a bite wouldn't cause any sort of effect other than mild irritation and swelling. They are also readily available in excess at almost any vendor and very inexpensive to purchase too. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I'm just joking. OBTs and King Baboons are about the farthest you could get from that description with tarantulas.
My C. darlingi female webs a lot, and she has in my opinion the prettiest enclosure of all my tarantulas, webbed nicely, uses her hide and it ended just as imagined. :D Tarantulas usually reorder their enclosures and are like: "Screw you hooman!"
Hi Kat, I'm new to your channel. I don't have any tarantulas of my own but I'd love to know more about the Brazilian white knee Ocantoscurra geniculata ( I probably spelled that wrong). Or the Haplopelma minax, I don't know if they are a popular species with collectors but I love them. Could you please please do a collab on one of those species?
Hi Kat, once more awesome video. Can you make a video about substrate please? In german forums cocos substrate is demonized. It comes straight from hell. I don't know why. I use it whithout problems.
Cool video. C Darlingi was my 2nd Tarantula, I had to have one because of the horn! So cool. Mine has never been any trouble of any kind and typically hides in her pipe. Great animal though!
I would love to see more about the C.marshalli . My son Marshall (who I called Marshalli) past away last year and just after I found out about this tarantula with the same name and became obsessed , I don't keep t's yet but I have gone from "no I wouldn't have a tarantula" to having a list of 20 I would like all from this one t . Oh I have always been arachnophobic too but as I said obsessed now I even feed our garden spiders 😊
Totally gonna be real, this is the most amazing and informative care video ever. I hope you continue to do these and really show how amazing and diverse each T owner is with there own advice. Thank you!
I always respect peoples' channels and interests...... but : '''Good Godd Woman '' !!! ewwwwwww..... I have an ultimate tarantula/ giant mutant spider story from Cuba ............... I wish i could forget it .....
Awesome video. Being drawn to old worlds myself, the Dark Earth Tiger, Thailand Black or the vicious OBT seem like awesome topics later on. From the new world it would be interesting to learn more about the Therephosa species. Thanks Kat.
Would love to see one on Harpactira pulchripes (Golden Blue Leg Baboon Tarantula) great collaboration thank you ever so much for sharing and best wishes always..
I want more of these. These collab videos our amazing. It's like wading through old message boards for information without having to parse out the flame wars, arguments, death threats, and trolls.
Have you got any pointers on becoming a successful youtuber thanks and btw I wanna be like you one day with your success in RUclips keep it up and you make your vids so positive

You are amazing❤️
Nice idea for the collaboration video. All the people in it are great and so are their Horned Baboons. Thank you very much Kat for the video.
My C. darlingi is amazing. She webs up pretty well and is always at the entrance to her burrow. Never had a threat pose or problem with her.
KCTarantulas I haven’t had a threat pose before either
Subscribed to them all !
Thank you Wonderful Kat !

Horned Baboon Tarantulas are such a cool tarantula, but unfortunately for me, they are indigenous where I live and is therefor illegal to own.
Seriously Kat you didn’t remove the STUPID BLUE BAG!!!!!!
Can you do a Brachypelma Hamorii\smithi collab so I can do it 😂

My C. darlingi female webs a lot, and she has in my opinion the prettiest enclosure of all my tarantulas, webbed nicely, uses her hide and it ended just as imagined. :D Tarantulas usually reorder their enclosures and are like: "Screw you hooman!"
Mirko's Invertebrates i used to think tarantulas were the worst about redecorating their homes until I took in my Halloween moon crabs. It’s hilarious

I'm actually genuinely afraid of my rear horned baboon, how do I deal with the speed
David Kavanagh stay calm and have two catch cups ready :D don’t be afraid
Hi Kat, once more awesome video. Can you make a video about substrate please? In german forums cocos substrate is demonized. It comes straight from hell. I don't know why. I use it whithout problems.

Awesome vid and I’d love to know more about avicularia species
I like how the Hornet Baboons are all named the same way with the species names based on patronyms. Makes it neat in a list.
Thank you for this. Love the collabs.
