I am not familiar with Ateez lore, but let me break down the concept of Crewone. Their ace and group performances all followed the same storyline. In the ace performance, Jimin was seated inside a black, dead flower, representing a desperate and hopeless situation. The performance was titled “Dark Time,” referring to the group’s struggles and situations before joining The Crewone and RTK If you noticed his facial expressions, Jimin started with an emotionless face. As time passed, ( referring to the ticking sound effects in the song) his expression changed, showing anger and a wilder side. At the end, he revealed an hourglass with black sand, symbolizing the “he is still on the dark time” When the Crewone group performance began, all the members were kneeling with their hands behind their backs, looking at the ground. Once the hourglass broke and Jimin showed the black sand falling from his hands, all the members stood up and threw away their black flowers (you may not have noticed them holding the black flowers at the beginning) They started dancing together with anger, and if you looked at the background, you could see that time had stopped, and chains appeared on the screen. I interpreted this as them being stuck in this dark time which made them really angry and wants to breakout The highlight of the performance was when Doyum performed the 360° side flip. At that moment, the chains in the background broke and disappeared. As the performance continued, the members’s facial expressions became angrier. At the end, when they all put their hands on each others back jimin showed the hourglass again but this time it was white, Than Junmin (an ATBO member) helped him flipping the hourglass symbolizing a new beginning for the team. They ended the performance with pink flowers, representing that they would bloom together as one team and that they get rides of the black flowers which were in the beginning Additionally, they reason why they chose the broken hourglass concept and the transition from dark to bright colors was to refers to their debut song, “Damage” and “monochrome”
@@Icedtea6305 thank you so much for your insight and I’m appreciative that you took the time to explain for fans and non fans alike! It also allows me better context for the future!!
I loved this performance so much, i kept rewatching it cuse it kind of got stuck in my mind. I kind of see why people see whyy they sayin its giving copying Ateez but who really cares as long as its not identical, another thing i wished they gave was some vocals or rap cuse other people sung or rapped somethig, but it was understandable. i wanna see them troughout the program hopefully being strong to the next stages too. My only worry Again is the fandom :((
