Nah simple and Clean is the better song, especially the instrumental version, there is a reason that song was used for the Smash Reveal, Sanctuary is by no means a bad song either but hasn't reached the same level as simple and clean in terms of recognition.
@@joshz2491it was in the smash reveal because it showed KH1 Sora so they're gonna use the KH1 op. Watching these react vids the trend is people enjoying simple and clean, but then they all lose it at sanctuary.
The line that is first sang during the opening instrumentation and then repeated occasionally throughout the song, that probably sounds like nonsense is backwards. If you were to play the song in reverse, at those points you'd hear 'I need more affection than you know'.
I'm still amazed that Skrillex got to collab with Utada for KH3's opening song! I had no idea the guy was a fan of the franchise! Also, you gotta play through the franchise yourself to really get to know the characters.
I'm not sure if it's Disney specifically, but more cartoony characters tended to have exaggerated features like feet... Also eyes... In fact, you could arguably trace the big eyes in anime back to Disney and other cartoons of that era, with the anime/manga style of drawing being inspired by Western cartoons that came over after WW2... They developed in their own way later, but yeah... Look at some early manga characters like Astroboy and it has more similarities to western stuff at the time. Utada Hikaru has a lot of fun and interesting music... Another fun English one she did was Blow My Whistle, with Foxy Brown, as featured on the Rush Hour 2 soundtrack... Another of my faves is How ya Doin', which I think was on her first album, released under the name Cubic U... I think she might have been 14 at the time or something.... Be My Last is a really pretty Japanese song she did, I think... She has quite a range over the past couple of decades or so... Starting a bit more pop/RnB, then getting a bit experimental... Some reminds me a bit of Bjork, although not quite as crazy lol.
We actually found a couple of vinyls in a record store in Austin a couple of weeks ago of Hikaru Utada. They were $60-70 each, so we didn't get them, but it was cool seeing them, even if they weren't in english
OMFG WOW man It's just such a masterpiece.. Especially Simple and Clean. This song is so good everytime I see the video along with it I almost cry just cause it's genious. This is real quality music.
While I love Simple and Clean from KH1, Sanctuary is to me way better. The Kingdom Hearts series are GOAT's for good reason.
Yeah that’s understandable 💙 I think simple is better but sanctuary hits the FEELS FR 💙😭🔥

KH2 is the GOAT, and I'll do anything to protect my favorite boy Roxas
Absolutely

"You're gonna see some Disney characters."
Donald and Goofy: Get 5 collective seconds of screen-time.
Well, Ace wasn't technically wrong
I'm starting to play this franchise so it's amazing to see people doing the same even after all that years
It's a great series. Ace played through the series last year and is waiting for KH 4
I've been playing these games for like 20 years when I was a toddler and I'm so happy to see people enjoying it still.
@@Fella-hf3ncseeing new fans love the game and then get attached to the songs is amazing

There's a really cool metal version of this song where they sing that line
More information. This song is from Riku's perspective.
@@Fragmentsinfractals488wait really? I didn't know that
Yep ."I watch you fast asleep" Riku watching Sora when he is asleep in the pod, for example. @@Bruh-ii2mp

Why do I always cry during this freakin' intro 😭😭😭
Deep nostalgia for sure.
same! it captures the pain of trying to maintain friendships for me. the loss and the struggle. its so beautiful.
Because it's the second best one.
im 33 and this dang song still makes me sob.
fun fact there's kinda a song if you listen to it backwards there's some lyrics that are kinda hard to hear without subtitles
The parts that are in reverse or something else entirely?
"I need more affection than you know"
This brings me back to my childhood
From like 7 years old and these songs still sting
Kingdom hearts becomes easier to explain if you just replace the word heart with soul
This song video covers the first game and chain of memories which is a very important to the series. I hope you played or watched every game!
Out of the three main intro songs, this is my favorite.
Sanctuary is amazing but Dearly beloved KH2 version will always be my favorite
Kh2 version of Dearly Beloved?
@@KathyLuluandDonna yup its great
@@seancurtis1199 ooh I know what you're talking about. It plays during the main menu when selecting a game
この曲の英語バージョン初めて聴きました🤘😊

Have her watch a video explaining the storyline so it can make more sense
You abruptly stopping the video was so jarring you could've explained this after
ゲームのストーリーをこの短時間で説明するのは無理なんよw
