Great video, if you hold Alt/Option key when creating a mask it automatically creates an inverted mask
This would have been really great tutorial if there was somebody talking what tools are you using in every step..
Yes sometimes i dont know what tool he does
He did use: mask, then mask inverse (ctrl + i on PC), then he changed the color of the pencil to white so he can SHOW what is hide by the black color. He básico did the same trick in all layers. In the beginning he just readjusted the color of the man and the skull for blending, for it he used color balance and I recomend u guys to use also Levels and try to learn a bit of Camera Raw (but don’t focus on CR now).

Select the layer mask and inverted it by pressing Ctrl+i

First adjust your Skull layer and the click on Layer masking button and convert the mask (ctrl+i) and use brush tool and white is a foreground colour and paint over the area where you want your skull layer to visible.

Setting up the potition and you invert the mask (tje mask icon will shown black) and texture will hide and you choose where you wanna shown the texture with white brush. Keep on try and you will make it.💪
