My dad was the first black man to pull a float in the annual Christmas parade in1957,what a trill it was to see my dad pulling that John Deere tractor when he worked at Wade Hardware
I have been going to Greenwood Leflore county since I was a little boy and I consider Mississippi my second birth state 😊 I love down there and I'm from Milwaukee Wisconsin people
I really like Greenwood as far as the size and population. It's not too big or too small. It has just the right amount of downtown area with shops and places to buy your necessities. I'm glad the creator of this channel pointed out that there doesn't seem to be alot in the way of social clubs, bars or other places for events. If you move to this town, you're going to want to meet people and without those social places it makes it very hard. If you're new, you won't be invited to people's homes for private parties or bbqs. I guess you have to go to an even larger city like Meridan to get social places. 😪
Great work. Only one feedback. Those affluent neighboorhoods are North Greenwood, a drive across the bridge past the dowmtown area would reveal a totally different dynamic. Poor and filled with run down housing that is still being rented out. Historic Black Cemetary that looks like a jungle. A towm divided. From there, didnt come ther. But do commend your efforts and commitment to capturing these type aras.
So the river that runs through the town is a dividing mark for the rich and poor? North of the river is the more affluent area while the side side is the more poor? Is that correct?
I love Greenwood ❤ I can’t wait to go back and see my family❤ I love the food ! It’s a relaxing vacation. Downtown has fun shopping. Beautiful open land and Cotton harvest in the fall. ❤
That sign was written by someone that is likely no longer with us. USA (let alone a state) has not been cotton capital for quite a few years. I do not know the city but china holds in storage in excess if one years worth of cotton demand. Used to be us. No longer. Good thing as being cotton capital means you are not making any money. Thank you Stay safe. Enjoyed the tour!
Thanks for sharing, I won't ever catch all parts of any town. Also, I'm not from these towns so I won't always have the information as someone who lives there. Internet doesn't provide all details.

@@InTheseStreetz Honest answer. Gotta love ya!
Most racist place I been in my life I hate that place, you couldn't pay me to go there
Why is it so racist? What about that town makes it that way in your opinion?
BEST thing my parents ever did was move us from that hell whole. I will never visit Greenwood again!!
Why was it so bad for you?
very depressing. Everybody is poor and seemingly dead. Looks like a bomb hit it
You didn’t go in the black neighborhood to show the sad part of Greenwood, you was showing the white part of Greenwood!
Where are the statistics and the history of the town? NOT HOUSES!
Look them up yourself an not everyone does that..she already said she wouldn't be
