Crystal Palace, Cinderella Castle, Chef Mickey’s, Garden Grill and Ohana are all enjoyable character dining experiences. I don’t know that I have a favourite one at WDW, but the one I would recommend least is dinner at Chef Mickey’s. The breakfast/brunch at Chef. Mickey’s is a better price and a better value for what is presented. I found dinner at Chef Mickey’s underwhelming for the price. They are all expensive meals, but if you’re going to treat your family once in a vacation, one of them at breakfast would be an interesting memory to have for a family. At Disneyland, the character breakfast at the Grand California Hotel at Storyteller’s Cafe is probably the best Disney character breakfast I’ve experienced on either coast.
Crystal Palace is my favorite at breakfast. Those characters are awesome and I do like the food. It's buffet but I enjoy it. I also enjoyed Tusker House but I've not been back to WDW since 2018 so maybe it is not as good now. ETA - Chef Mickey's is a circle of hell to me. Too loud, lousy food, and not the best character experience. But then it's been YEARS - I do remember the napkin twirls - that was the best part.
It used to be 1900 Park Fare but now that they've changed the cast of characters...I don't have any desire to go back. The new cast has nothing to do with the hotel theming or each other.
Based on comments in the video, it seems like this review was filmed in January... Perhaps it was forgotten on the hard dive, to be rediscovered in the office transition that's happening. I wonder 🤔 if there is even more changes now. Have a happy Tuesday everyone! 😂❤🎉
I'm not a big fan of Chef Mickeys, but one of my best memories occurred there. I was with a large group of runners from one of the marathons. We decided to take a group picture using the elevated step that ran around the inside of the restaurant. Mickey happened by while we were getting arranged for the picture and somehow through pantomime, he got us all singing the Mouseketeers song from the show. Mickey conducted the group as we sang the song. It was one of those moments that used to occur often at Disney that made the Magic Kingdom magic.
Dependent on the seasoning (which can make or break something like that!), I think that plant based hash would be great (and I am the target audience)! I eat a lot of warm salads in the winter, and having all the greens is great for my iron content 😁.
well those beignets look lush 😋 and yaay, we love a Tom and Nana review! ive actually been curious about chef mickeys breakfast in Tokyo and how it compares to wdw, so I would like to hear more about that and goofy’s kitchen if you do a character dining podcast. Plus any tips Nana has for us on getting those elusive dining reservations at Tokyo disney when you are a non-resort guest please🙏🏻✨
Please do a video or podcast ranking all the character dinings! Even if its the same location separating between breakfast vs lunch/dinner like Hollywood & Vine. Which characters appear would be nice too. As far as I know, the only one you can meet the two couples (Mickey/Minnie and Donald/Daisy) is Topalino's.
We have to disagree about Tusker House breakfast. We had breakfast there on our trip two years ago and loved it. Great food and great character interaction.
I wonder if there is any place there in DW where grown ups can have a proper breakfast without all the noise. By proper I mean table service with tablecloths. Like on a cruise when you go to the dinning room for breakfast.
What's your favorite character dining experience?
Garden Grill
I’ve eaten at almost all of them and we love Garden Grill, CRT, and Topolino’s breakfast they are all amazing

We need more Nana in the videos. She's great
Agreed! More Nana!
Sometimes I tune in just to see Tom's amazing shirt collection. I need to find one like that.

I caught the time too... Might be helpful to have it in the title or something as they could have changed things up yet again....

Great video ! Just curious….how much the breakfast buffet was there at chef Mickey’s ?
breakfast $58 per adult, plus tax and gratuity
$37 per Child (Ages 3-9), plus tax and gratuity
Tusker House is my favorite, but I miss the bread pudding which used to be on the menu all the time.
Nice video.
I really enjoyed Tokyo Thomas. He was fun to be with.

Tusker, Cape May, Garden Grille and Topolinos are family favorites
CHEF MICKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The texture of the beignets looks like a Krispy Kreme donut.
Tom and Nana crack me up!
Love your food reviews. But please show more footage of the actual food. I don’t mind looking at Tom, but more images of the food are needed.

Ale & Compass at the Beach Club
Now do a review of Chef Mickey at The Ambassador Hotel.
Watch what you wish for…
LOOK AT ALL THOSE CARBS!! Looks like fun but not worth the price is my opinion!
$67 pp for chicken fingers and cookies. 🙄
