Park ensemble, a monument of gardening art of the first third of the 18th century[1] in the Central District of St. Petersburg. The garden was founded by order of Peter I in 1704 and was originally regular. It occupies a separate island of the same name, washed by the rivers Neva, Fontanka, Moika and Swan Canal.
