That really helps out, some of my friends were telling the transfer on this was not great. But after seeing your video, it's not that bad of a transfer so I'll definitely pick it up!
Christian trust me my friend you have absolutely nothing to worry about when it comes to its 4K transfer. It's not the best you're ever going to see but it's solid nonetheless and when you hear that audio I'm not kidding it transforms the movie. I think people's expectations are a little bit too high. Yeah you sometimes forget that these Blu-rays do look quite fantastic. The 4K is better no question about it and it will always be my go to wait to watch the movie particularly when you hear the sound. It's great to have such a collector's edition. A great review as always Keith. I love the comparison photos you put up. I can see what you mean re the difference to the blu ray, but I do think that there’s a good upgrade going by your shots. The colours do look a lot more natural (as you stated). Take the shot with the boom box in it, the metal/plastic just looks so much more realistic on the 4K. Also there’s a decent step up in terms of detail (the detail on the sofa in one of the shots comes to mind) and the black levels (and overall contrast is certainly improved by some margin on the 4K). I’ve just gone standard edition on this one, but this does look a lovely set, thanks for showing it to us.
Like I said in the video it's a solid 4K transfer. I don't know why but I had it in my head that it was going to be leaps and bounds over the Blu-ray. It's only when I seen the Blu-ray that I realised how good it actually looks. But everything that plagued the Blu-ray in terms of issues has been addressed on the 4K and for that reason alone it is definitely worth picking up. Not only that but the sound is absolutely phenomenal. I honestly couldn't be happier and thank you so much by the way for the very kind words. This is my favourite release of the year so far. Received my copy today and watched the uncut version earlier tonight along with all the special features - loved every minute of it. Packaging is great and very good it comes in an outer protective white Warner Bros protective box. Interestingly for this release they have fixed the broken audio that has been missing for years. Only found this out from a channel called ashmare that details this. Great video Keith for such an iconic release 👍🏻👍🏻

Hey Keith, a very honest review. It's the best I've ever seen this film but if I'm being honest I was expecting a bit more from it but you know what I'm ok with what we got. The film is a modern classic and like I said it's the best it's ever looked. I knocked it on again this morning because I'm just happy to have the 4K version now. It was a long time coming.
I think you could be absolutely ecstatic with this 4K transfer if you look at it the right way. The Blu-ray already look great and every issue that Blu-ray had was corrected with the 4K release and for that reason alone it's worth owning. Not only that but when you hear how good it sounds. Is the blu ray same as the old one or is it a new one? My only requirement was a blu ray with the uncut version and audio with no missing effects/music. I am more interested in something new with the sequels. They suffered from black crush
To be honest Nicolas I never checked out the Blu-ray in this set. I probably should have. Something's telling me it might be a new Master. But don't take my word for it.
Hey Keith, got my US steel book last night. Watched about halfway through. I had heard the same team that did the Atmos for twister did this, so I was expecting something really good and boy was I not in any way disappointed. it makes for a fantastic demo just switch between the two main audio tracks on the disc I almost couldn’t believe the difference granted the other track is a stereo track, but my receiver does a pretty good job of converting to a decent ProLogic surround, but the difference is absolutely night and day, if you didn’t check out the difference between the two tracks, definitely give it a listen. I agree with what you said about the picture it’s very good nothing really to complain about but nothing to brag about either but coming from the DVD I’ve never owned the Blu-ray If you can believe it I’m happy and the sound is at 10 and the picture is 8 or 8 1/2 , maybe in 10 years for the 50th anniversary they’ll do a Dolby Vision version. Trust me John I have compared both tracks and it really is a Night and Day difference. I see so many people online complaining about old movies with Dolby Atmos and how it never add anything to it. You just know they don't have the right set up because when you hear how good this movie sounds with Atmos behind the I think it transforms it. The picture quality is not going to win any awards but I still think it's very solid. All in all I am very happy with my purchase. The artwork on the one side of the poster is, for some reason, the Turkish poster art. Also, it took them months to release the images of the set but nonetheless, they changed the booklet afteward.

Rumour has it we are getting the rest of the movies on 4K next year. I really hope there is some truth to those rumours. As for seeing it on the big screen I never had the pleasure unfortunately we never seem to get options like that over here which is an absolute shame. I wonder what number I would have gotten if I hadn't canceled the Amazon UK preorder that I believe I placed in May, which I canceled due to my having momentarily been afflicted with a degree of insanity that resulted in my imagining that the U.S. version would be the same thing. Of course, judging by the release date currently listed on Amazon UK, I'd be waiting another month for it if I'd kept that order whereas I have received a shipping notification for the copy I preordered in August from Diabolik DVD.
This edition has me somewhat confused because I was under the impression this was widely available even over in the States. From what I've been hearing there is so many different variants out there with different numbered editions. This one is limited to 27, 400. I was told there was other ones limited to 4000. I have absolutely no idea what's going on

Got my collectors box set yesterday, i always loved the original poster art but it's a little dull on the steel book, it needs something to make it really pop ! In regards to Nancy's mum looking a bit waxy, she always looked like she was made of plastic, wheather it was on vhs ,dvd or blu ray.....probably an Auton 😱
Like I said in the video if the Steelbook had a high gloss finish to it it would have looked so much better. But I'm still very happy with it. I watched it again last night and I do think there's a bit of DNR applied to the picture. I think it was tastefully handled

It goes without saying Angelo but the comparisons that I put up are meant to be taken with a pinch of salt. Chances are it will look much better on your own setup. But it's great to hear that you picked up the release itself. I think you'll have few complaints
You confirmed what i was seeing Keith, that they could have done better on the transfer but ill be glad to have this packaging for it, and definitely will be checking out the atmos. Havent had mine ship yet but love seeing original artwork in there. I knew it must have been a high edition number as you can still purchase it. I think they were a little lazy with a few things, the slipcover version has part 4 Freddy and not original Freddy.
Yeah I have said it a few times in the comment section Steve it's a solid release in terms of transfer and packaging but it's definitely not one of Warner Brothers best efforts. Out of the three collectors Editions that I got yesterday this is definitely the worst of the three. But I am still so happy to own such an iconic horror movie Like A Nightmare on Elm Street and great to see it getting finally The Collector treatment. Have to say Keith, this is what I suspected would be the case with this release, although mine hasn't arrived yet (cheers HMV!) I'm not sure WB know just how rabid the fan base is for the Nightmare series. You only need look at the cover art furore that blew up 😂 Like The Exorcist LE, I thought it was a good set (especially our UK one) and a good transfer, but nothing more, and tbh, I'm happy with that for NoES. It's shocking to think that this is the first collector's edition that we've ever gotten for A Nightmare on Elm Street. It's criminal when you think about it. Trying to figure out the difference between this and the set on Walmart & Amazon. They look the same but yours says limited to 27,400. Walmart & Amazon websites say limited to 4,000. Both are in stock. Walmart is $83.98 & Amazon is $89.99. Weird. Wondering is the US got a different run than UK?
This set is only available in the UK technically, but being imported into the U.S by some sellers. The original promo pic showed limited to 4000 but Warner must have increased it to 27,400. It should still sell out though.
Yeah I was going to say the exact same thing it's only available in the UK. There was a rumour that they were meant to be limited to 4000 but as you can see by the video that's definitely not the case. Maybe you are seeing the Steelbook release that got released in the States

Also I don't think they have had them listed for long. It was only Amazon UK I found it until now. Hopefully it stays in stock for couple more weeks and I might be able to swing it.
@@screamingeekmediathe differences are quite clear - the hard box (with the same artwork as the standard steelbook you’re referring to), the different cover art (original US theatrical art work) on the Steelbook, the art cards and booklet and the limited edition postcard numbered insert. Other than that it’s the same disc as everywhere. The Steelbook you’re talking about available in the US is available here in the UK too as well as the standard slip. This set wasn’t/isn’t just available via Amazon UK, I got mine off Zavvi and I think HMV online may also have had it too before it sold out.

And they recently listed them on their sites. When I checked a while back they were not on the sites. Of course, they are higher price now. I hope to get one before they sell out. I remember we went through a small phase when you could get Mediabooks over here. Unfortunately it didn't last very long which is an absolute shame. At least we have Germany still supplying us some amazing releases on mediabook form. As for this release I couldn't be happier with what we got. Hey Keith, got my slip cover edition from HMV a couple of hours ago. This morning I watched a 4k vs blu ray comparison on YT and I was very underwhelmed. When my copy turned up a few hours later I popped the disc in and watched the first ten minutes. It looks superb, way better than I was led to believe. I think it comes down to the fantastic HDR Optimizer in my Panny ub820, it makes a huge difference on standard HDR content. Here's some advice for everyone, Don't always rely on these comparison channels either because it will always look very different on your own setup. I also got my copy of To Catch A Thief today, looks amazing but no original mono sound in English. Have a great weekend both of you. Gaz.
I have said it so many times in so many videos but you never know until you get these movies home on your own setup. I don't think this is the best 4K transfer you're ever likely to see but like I said in the video it's solid. When it comes to my comparisons that I show like I said in the video they are there just to show a difference in colour and that's it. As you can see the HDR doesn't drastically add much to it which is not a bad thing. It just tells me that the Blu-ray already looked amazing and every issue that was plaguing that Blu-ray release has been fixed. I'm very happy in the end. Gorgeous set! I had it pre-ordered back in May. Since it hadn't shipped yet, I canceled it yesterday. Our bank account is pretty drained and just couldn't afford having that extra money coming out after all I've spent lately. Pretty bummed! 😞

@@millerman9991 I got carried away lately with orders. The sets of Labyrinth and Dark Crystal, movies from Diabolik, Turbine, Shout and some other preorders. Figure I will have to pay more once I am ready. Zavvi still has the standard steelbook. So thats always an option. I love the VHS design.

I thought these were limited to just 5000 copies, but every time i watch one of these unboxing vids the amount seems to go up. i watched one the other day and it was 13000, this ones 27400?
To be honest I never thought they were numbered from the get-go. It's only when I got my release in my hands and seen the certificate I was like wow I wasn't expecting that. Warner Brothers don't normally do Ltd number editions.

I opted for the padding ones because I thought this simply look better to look at individually. To be honest the gaps in the box set don't really bother me. My order came through this morning via R.M, ordered A nightmare, Twister XL & twisters Steelbook. My twister XL has ended up in Blyth??? Looking at the quality of this release I know it'll be worth the wait of a few days. Was kinda hoping that the artwork on the steel was the claw marks. But it's still an amazing set. Got to thank HMV for not taking it out of the WB box to protect it more in transit.. going to be Sat night viewing I think 👏👏👏👏👏 as always Keith.. as long as it looks as good as The Exorcist then I'm happy as I heard that in certain moments the quality lacked a little. But for me i really enjoyed it.. just pre'd Galaxy quest for 2/12/24 can't wait for that... Have Inc these 3 around 32 4K's coming before xmas

Even though the 4K transfer wasn't as good as I was hoping it would be it still an absolutely fantastic transfer that has fixed every problem that we had with the previous Blu-ray and for that reason alone it was worth picking up. But then 2/12 is looking good to.. with Galaxy quest, Godzilla minus 1 & Alien Romulus. @garethhiggin3277 unfortunately Gareth when it comes to World War Z it's not going to be Dolby Atmos. But do not worry about it because as far as I remember the audio on the Blu-ray I think was quite active and immersive. Yeah but as you mentioned there are so many amazing releases still to come. Blazing Saddles in particular is one I am so unbelievably excited about. It's one thing to get the movie on 4K but to get it in a collectors package really is the cherry on top. It's such a great time to be a 4K collector

I cancelled my pre order as 1 , i didn't like the artwork on the box 2 my digital copy got a free upgrade with dolby vision and dolby atmos . BUT ! After watching your video ive gone green with fomo and regret it now ! (,also zavvi had peed me off so it was a rage delete 😂) might pick it up if a restock comes on amazon or hmv m8. Anyway the pictures quality is absolutely gorgeous !

I much prefer the 4k to the blu ray. If only for the more natural look. I always thought the previous releases bumped up the warmth too much on the daytime scenes, which made it look more like California than its Ohio setting. The transfer was always going to have limitations. Despite its notoriety, this is a pretty low budget film.
Like I said in my video I think it's a solid transfer. I thought we were going to get A Night and Day difference over the Blu-ray but when I realised how good the Blu-ray looked that was never going to happen. Yeah. Labels like arrow are doing better work than these studios but the studios are charging more ! £45 for this is crazy when these smaller boutique labels are putting in more effort and charging less. Because of this I don’t buy many studio releases and when I do I just buy the standard one

I think it was meant to be a couple of years ago. Could you imagine what that would have looked like in terms of its transfer and packaging. Sorry Stuart I definitely don't agree with that. The artwork on the Steelbook is probably one of the reasons to why I picked this one up. No question about it the artwork on the back of it is very underwhelming. But unfortunately Warner Brothers are like that when it comes to their steelbooks

Christian trust me my friend you have absolutely nothing to worry about when it comes to its 4K transfer. It's not the best you're ever going to see but it's solid nonetheless and when you hear that audio I'm not kidding it transforms the movie. I think people's expectations are a little bit too high. A great review as always Keith. I love the comparison photos you put up. I can see what you mean re the difference to the blu ray, but I do think that there’s a good upgrade going by your shots. The colours do look a lot more natural (as you stated). Take the shot with the boom box in it, the metal/plastic just looks so much more realistic on the 4K. Also there’s a decent step up in terms of detail (the detail on the sofa in one of the shots comes to mind) and the black levels (and overall contrast is certainly improved by some margin on the 4K). I’ve just gone standard edition on this one, but this does look a lovely set, thanks for showing it to us.
Like I said in the video it's a solid 4K transfer. I don't know why but I had it in my head that it was going to be leaps and bounds over the Blu-ray. It's only when I seen the Blu-ray that I realised how good it actually looks. But everything that plagued the Blu-ray in terms of issues has been addressed on the 4K and for that reason alone it is definitely worth picking up. Not only that but the sound is absolutely phenomenal. I honestly couldn't be happier and thank you so much by the way for the very kind words. This is my favourite release of the year so far. Received my copy today and watched the uncut version earlier tonight along with all the special features - loved every minute of it. Packaging is great and very good it comes in an outer protective white Warner Bros protective box. Interestingly for this release they have fixed the broken audio that has been missing for years. Only found this out from a channel called ashmare that details this. Great video Keith for such an iconic release 👍🏻👍🏻

Hey Keith, a very honest review. It's the best I've ever seen this film but if I'm being honest I was expecting a bit more from it but you know what I'm ok with what we got. The film is a modern classic and like I said it's the best it's ever looked. I knocked it on again this morning because I'm just happy to have the 4K version now. It was a long time coming.
I think you could be absolutely ecstatic with this 4K transfer if you look at it the right way. The Blu-ray already look great and every issue that Blu-ray had was corrected with the 4K release and for that reason alone it's worth owning. Not only that but when you hear how good it sounds. To be honest Nicolas I never checked out the Blu-ray in this set. I probably should have. Something's telling me it might be a new Master. But don't take my word for it.
Hey Keith, got my US steel book last night. Watched about halfway through. I had heard the same team that did the Atmos for twister did this, so I was expecting something really good and boy was I not in any way disappointed. it makes for a fantastic demo just switch between the two main audio tracks on the disc I almost couldn’t believe the difference granted the other track is a stereo track, but my receiver does a pretty good job of converting to a decent ProLogic surround, but the difference is absolutely night and day, if you didn’t check out the difference between the two tracks, definitely give it a listen.
I agree with what you said about the picture it’s very good nothing really to complain about but nothing to brag about either but coming from the DVD I’ve never owned the Blu-ray If you can believe it I’m happy and the sound is at 10 and the picture is 8 or 8 1/2 , maybe in 10 years for the 50th anniversary they’ll do a Dolby Vision version. Have a great one my friend.
Trust me John I have compared both tracks and it really is a Night and Day difference. I see so many people online complaining about old movies with Dolby Atmos and how it never add anything to it. You just know they don't have the right set up because when you hear how good this movie sounds with Atmos behind the I think it transforms it.
The picture quality is not going to win any awards but I still think it's very solid. All in all I am very happy with my purchase. It's about time A Nightmare on Elm Street got the collector's treatment. It's been a long time coming.

The artwork on the one side of the poster is, for some reason, the Turkish poster art. Also, it took them months to release the images of the set but nonetheless, they changed the booklet afteward.

I wonder what number I would have gotten if I hadn't canceled the Amazon UK preorder that I believe I placed in May, which I canceled due to my having momentarily been afflicted with a degree of insanity that resulted in my imagining that the U.S. version would be the same thing. Of course, judging by the release date currently listed on Amazon UK, I'd be waiting another month for it if I'd kept that order whereas I have received a shipping notification for the copy I preordered in August from Diabolik DVD.
This edition has me somewhat confused because I was under the impression this was widely available even over in the States. From what I've been hearing there is so many different variants out there with different numbered editions. This one is limited to 27, 400. I was told there was other ones limited to 4000. I have absolutely no idea what's going on

Got my collectors box set yesterday, i always loved the original poster art but it's a little dull on the steel book, it needs something to make it really pop !
In regards to Nancy's mum looking a bit waxy, she always looked like she was made of plastic, wheather it was on vhs ,dvd or blu ray.....probably an Auton 😱
Like I said in the video if the Steelbook had a high gloss finish to it it would have looked so much better. But I'm still very happy with it. I watched it again last night and I do think there's a bit of DNR applied to the picture. I think it was tastefully handled

It goes without saying Angelo but the comparisons that I put up are meant to be taken with a pinch of salt. Chances are it will look much better on your own setup. But it's great to hear that you picked up the release itself. I think you'll have few complaints
You confirmed what i was seeing Keith, that they could have done better on the transfer but ill be glad to have this packaging for it, and definitely will be checking out the atmos. Havent had mine ship yet but love seeing original artwork in there. I knew it must have been a high edition number as you can still purchase it. I think they were a little lazy with a few things, the slipcover version has part 4 Freddy and not original Freddy.
Yeah I have said it a few times in the comment section Steve it's a solid release in terms of transfer and packaging but it's definitely not one of Warner Brothers best efforts. Out of the three collectors Editions that I got yesterday this is definitely the worst of the three. I completely understand that Frank. I really like the edition but it's by no means Warner Brothers finest. I'm just happy that A Nightmare on Elm Street finally got the collector's treatment. It's been a long time coming

I'm not sure WB know just how rabid the fan base is for the Nightmare series. You only need look at the cover art furore that blew up 😂 Like The Exorcist LE, I thought it was a good set (especially our UK one) and a good transfer, but nothing more, and tbh, I'm happy with that for NoES. Great vid as always, and looking forward to see what number out of 27,400(!) I get 😂
Trust me when I say Steve you should be very happy when you finally get your release through the doors. Like I said in the video I am digging on the VHS vibes that you get on this release. It's shocking to think that this is the first collector's edition that we've ever gotten for A Nightmare on Elm Street. It's criminal when you think about it. But whenever you do get it through the door get back to me and let me know what you think
Trying to figure out the difference between this and the set on Walmart & Amazon. They look the same but yours says limited to 27,400. Walmart & Amazon websites say limited to 4,000. Both are in stock. Walmart is $83.98 & Amazon is $89.99. Weird. Wondering is the US got a different run than UK?
This set is only available in the UK technically, but being imported into the U.S by some sellers. The original promo pic showed limited to 4000 but Warner must have increased it to 27,400. It should still sell out though.
Yeah I was going to say the exact same thing it's only available in the UK. There was a rumour that they were meant to be limited to 4000 but as you can see by the video that's definitely not the case. Maybe you are seeing the Steelbook release that got released in the States
@@millerman9991 Makes sense that they could have changed it. The photos on both sites look identical so i think it is correct. Just higher price. Also I don't think they have had them listed for long. It was only Amazon UK I found it until now. Hopefully it stays in stock for couple more weeks and I might be able to swing it.
@@screamingeekmediathe differences are quite clear - the hard box (with the same artwork as the standard steelbook you’re referring to), the different cover art (original US theatrical art work) on the Steelbook, the art cards and booklet and the limited edition postcard numbered insert.
Other than that it’s the same disc as everywhere.
The Steelbook you’re talking about available in the US is available here in the UK too as well as the standard slip.
This set wasn’t/isn’t just available via Amazon UK, I got mine off Zavvi and I think HMV online may also have had it too before it sold out.
@@benpascall4297 I know this set is different than the standard steelbook. I meant the photos on Walmart & Amazon show the same identical box set as the unboxing videos online now. And they recently listed them on their sites. When I checked a while back they were not on the sites. Of course, they are higher price now. I hope to get one before they sell out. I love the VHS design of the hardbox.

I remember we went through a small phase when you could get Mediabooks over here. Unfortunately it didn't last very long which is an absolute shame. At least we have Germany still supplying us some amazing releases on mediabook form.
As for this release I couldn't be happier with what we got. It's great to see A Nightmare on Elm Street finally getting the treatment it absolutely deserves. A huge thank you as always Lee for taking the time to stop by. I really appreciate it my friend

Hey Keith, got my slip cover edition from HMV a couple of hours ago. This morning I watched a 4k vs blu ray comparison on YT and I was very underwhelmed. When my copy turned up a few hours later I popped the disc in and watched the first ten minutes. It looks superb, way better than I was led to believe. I think it comes down to the fantastic HDR Optimizer in my Panny ub820, it makes a huge difference on standard HDR content. Here's some advice for everyone, Don't always rely on these comparison channels either because it will always look very different on your own setup. I also got my copy of To Catch A Thief today, looks amazing but no original mono sound in English. Have a great weekend both of you. Gaz.
I have said it so many times in so many videos but you never know until you get these movies home on your own setup. I don't think this is the best 4K transfer you're ever likely to see but like I said in the video it's solid. When it comes to my comparisons that I show like I said in the video they are there just to show a difference in colour and that's it. As you can see the HDR doesn't drastically add much to it which is not a bad thing. It just tells me that the Blu-ray already looked amazing and every issue that was plaguing that Blu-ray release has been fixed. I'm very happy in the end. Gorgeous set! I had it pre-ordered back in May. Since it hadn't shipped yet, I canceled it yesterday. Our bank account is pretty drained and just couldn't afford having that extra money coming out after all I've spent lately. Pretty bummed! 😞
I'm sorry to hear that but I completely understand as well. Some things are more important and hopefully it will still be around whenever you have the money to get it in the future. It's been a crazy couple of months no question about it
@@millerman9991 I got carried away lately with orders. The sets of Labyrinth and Dark Crystal, movies from Diabolik, Turbine, Shout and some other preorders. Figure I will have to pay more once I am ready. Zavvi still has the standard steelbook. So thats always an option. I love the VHS design.

I thought these were limited to just 5000 copies, but every time i watch one of these unboxing vids the amount seems to go up. i watched one the other day and it was 13000, this ones 27400?
To be honest I never thought they were numbered from the get-go. It's only when I got my release in my hands and seen the certificate I was like wow I wasn't expecting that. Warner Brothers don't normally do Ltd number editions.

Hi keith cant wait to get mine through the door! It realeses a bit later here in germany. I also do have all the mediabooks and the box but i dont have the cotton stuffed ones but the regular ones. It was a good decision to me because the spine picture doesnt have gaps.

Hey Stefan. I was actually seriously considering buying the other mediabooks as well and have both collections beside each other. I opted for the padding ones because I thought this simply look better to look at individually. To be honest the gaps in the box set don't really bother me. I'm just happy to have such a rare edition of A Nightmare on Elm Street as I'm sure you are as well. I really hope you enjoy your 4K edition when you get it through the door

No I didn't pick it up because I think it's way too expensive. All of a sudden Nameless Media's busts are selling for €300. It used to be 200 or under

My order came through this morning via R.M, ordered A nightmare, Twister XL & twisters Steelbook. My twister XL has ended up in Blyth??? Looking at the quality of this release I know it'll be worth the wait of a few days. Was kinda hoping that the artwork on the steel was the claw marks. But it's still an amazing set. Got to thank HMV for not taking it out of the WB box to protect it more in transit.. going to be Sat night viewing I think 👏👏👏👏👏 as always Keith.. as long as it looks as good as The Exorcist then I'm happy as I heard that in certain moments the quality lacked a little. But for me i really enjoyed it.. just pre'd Galaxy quest for 2/12/24 can't wait for that... Have Inc these 3 around 32 4K's coming before xmas
To be honest Gareth I think you are going to have few issues when you get your 4K release through the door. Even though the 4K transfer wasn't as good as I was hoping it would be it still an absolutely fantastic transfer that has fixed every problem that we had with the previous Blu-ray and for that reason alone it was worth picking up. The sound in particular is absolutely astonishing. I've also pre-ordered that Galaxy Quest edition. It's shaping up to be a stunning release. I never thought we would get such a release for that movie. But thank you as always Gareth for taking the time to stop by

Tbh I never really got into the A nighmare series, a lot like the Exorcist. So tbh It'll be my first time watching just like The Exorcist, which I enjoyed. Have a lot in my 32 4K'S coming Inc WWZ which I'm hoping it'll have an atmos sound & not upscaled.. Nov 18th looks good with Blazing Saddles, Seven Samurai & Oppenheimer as well as The Terminator... But then 2/12 is looking good to.. with Galaxy quest, Godzilla minus 1 & Alien Romulus. Really hoping we get Kingdom of heaven D.C , The last Samurai, The last mohicans, interview vampire , Dances with wolves D.C & Near Dark etc next year all the best Keith 👍👍👍👍
@garethhiggin3277 unfortunately Gareth when it comes to World War Z it's not going to be Dolby Atmos. But do not worry about it because as far as I remember the audio on the Blu-ray I think was quite active and immersive. Yeah but as you mentioned there are so many amazing releases still to come. Blazing Saddles in particular is one I am so unbelievably excited about. It's one thing to get the movie on 4K but to get it in a collectors package really is the cherry on top. It's such a great time to be a 4K collector
Royal Mail might have lost mine from HMV. Unconfirmed at moment. HMV say it's on the way but tracking stuck since Saturday 😱

I cancelled my pre order as 1 , i didn't like the artwork on the box 2 my digital copy got a free upgrade with dolby vision and dolby atmos . BUT ! After watching your video ive gone green with fomo and regret it now ! (,also zavvi had peed me off so it was a rage delete 😂) might pick it up if a restock comes on amazon or hmv m8. Anyway the pictures quality is absolutely gorgeous !

I much prefer the 4k to the blu ray. If only for the more natural look. I always thought the previous releases bumped up the warmth too much on the daytime scenes, which made it look more like California than its Ohio setting. The transfer was always going to have limitations. Despite its notoriety, this is a pretty low budget film.
Like I said in my video I think it's a solid transfer. I thought we were going to get A Night and Day difference over the Blu-ray but when I realised how good the Blu-ray looked that was never going to happen. But like I said in the video every issue the Blu-ray had has been addressed with the 4K release and for that reason alone it's worth picking up. I'm very happy with my purchase.

But I have to admit as much as I love it it doesn't come close to the German release. It's probably the greatest edition you could ever possibly own when it comes to the nightmare series. Given how quickly this is selling (as was to be expected) I can’t see them not releasing the rest of the series, good or bad as some were. Same applied to Chucky series, Halloween and it look likes like they drip feeding the Friday 13th movies. Fingers crossed anyway.
There is a huge rumour going around that we are going to be getting all the nightmare movies sometime early next year. I'm not sure how true it is but let's cross our fingers that it does happen. It would be criminal if it didn't

Yeah. Labels like arrow are doing better work than these studios but the studios are charging more ! £45 for this is crazy when these smaller boutique labels are putting in more effort and charging less. Because of this I don’t buy many studio releases and when I do I just buy the standard one

I think it was meant to be a couple of years ago. Could you imagine what that would have looked like in terms of its transfer and packaging. I still can't get over how phenomenal that Hitcher edition is. You can clearly see the amount of love and attention that went into much like all of there releases

Sorry Stuart I definitely don't agree with that. The artwork on the Steelbook is probably one of the reasons to why I picked this one up. No question about it the artwork on the back of it is very underwhelming. But unfortunately Warner Brothers are like that when it comes to their steelbooks
