These Pokemon were NERFED?? They're still incredible in Season 20!

    Tell me what you guys think of this video down below! Comments/suggestions are appreciated.
    I originally put this team together as a joke since all 3 Pokemon were nerfed this season (Counter had an energy nerf and Smack Down had a damage nerf) but it worked shockingly well!
    Many of my opponents have been getting too comfortable safe swapping dominant matchups for Bastiodon (ie, Talonflame or Mandibuzz), and people have also been very keen on safe swapping things like Shadow Drapion, Dunsparce, or Diggersby after Medicham goes down figuring we won't have a hard answer, but this is where Poliwrath shines!
    If you have any other questions or feedback, feel free to leave a comment below! I'll do my best to answer them.

    Top stuff, I really enjoy your explanations - always very clear & considered.
    Do you have set times when you stream on Twitch, or is it more of an ad hoc thing?

      @@diegogoldeen7 all just varies by day. Typically if I go live it would be sometime around 11:30 AM EST give or take a little bit, but I stream a lot of different games so it’s not always going to be GBL.

    OK, so we obviously don't love a Charmer lead, but otherwise-yeah, seems solid. I especially like Poliwrath as wall to Drapion, much in the same way Chesnaught is a wall to Dunsparce, with the added bonus of having play against Talonflame. As always, well battled and explained. Thanks for the content!

    I'm a big fan of your shadow Sab, Medi , Bast team ages ago and was hoping to find a similar team (where winning lead is essential). Do you have another team liek that?
    Also, with this team, would a normal basti work?

    Wtf how,, i am at 2493 and mostly seeing malmars, clods, serperiors. You would be shredded with this line up ×_×

    • @Jason2890
      @Jason2890  18 дней назад +1

      @@honigson8776 This team is still very playable vs that team depending on what their lead is and how they play it. Medi beats Malamar in the 0s and beats Clodsire in the 0s and 1s. So I either get alignment to put Bastiodon on Serperior or I get a shield advantage and energy lead on Poliwrath which is also good enough to overcome Serperior/Clodsire.

    what to do with azu lead?

    • @Jason2890
      @Jason2890  18 дней назад +1

      @@SzI18 play out the 0s with Medicham. You comfortably survive a Play Rough and if they try to farm you down after landing it you can land 3 Psychics which puts Azu deep into the red. So they’re either forced to throw 2 moves and come out with little/no energy or you get them low enough for Bastiodon to finish easily.

      @@Jason2890 thank you! been getting a few wig leads lately but I'm gonna stick to this for a while and see how this goes.
      What about jumpluff leads without ice punch? sadly I straight lose this

    • @Jason2890
      @Jason2890  18 дней назад +1

      @@SzI18 the good thing about Wigglytuff lead is that Wigglytuff has to throw a charge move or use a shield before charming you down, because otherwise you KO them with two Dynamic Punches plus the Psycho Cut damage. And you’ll usually land 1 Dynamic Punch which puts it low enough for Poliwrath to handle later if they preserve Wiggly.

    • @SzI18
      @SzI18 17 дней назад

      @@Jason2890 thanks again! what about jumpluff leads?

    • @Jason2890
      @Jason2890  17 дней назад +1

      @@SzI18 just play out the 0s with Medicham. If they’re running Aerial Ace then they need to land two and you can get off two Psychics (unless they’re Shadow in which case you only get 1 Psychic off). If they’re running Acrobatics you still survive and can get two Psychics off before they farm you down (same as before though, if they’re shadow you only land 1 Psychic).
      Then after Medi dies just come in with Bastiodon. If they preserve Jumpluff then they’re already going to be low enough for Icy Wind to take it out later if Poliwrath gets an energy lead so you still have some play.
