- Ertuğrul Gazi was the father of Osman I. Little is known about Ertuğrul's life. According to Ottoman tradition, he was the son of Suleyman Shah, the leader of the Kayı tribe of the Oghuz Turks, who fled from western Central Asia to Anatolia to escape the Mongol conquests, According to this legend, after the death of his father, Ertuğrul and his followers entered the service of the Sultanate of Rum, for which he was rewarded with dominion over the town of Söğüt on the frontier with the Byzantine Empire. This set off the chain of events that would ultimately lead to the founding of the Ottoman Empire.

After watching this series you're not going to like any other movie or series as much as this... Resurrection Ertugrul is something else you live with it, you learn from it, you will want to show it to your friends and relatives so if they get a bit of a lesson from this this world could be a better place...This series is really out of the world it's better than any Hollywood's Movie or Series if you're reading this and haven't watched this series yet..please watch it❤️
absolutely right that it is a feeling. Many people would not have known about it had the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, not spoken about it. And the lockdown was a blessing for those that had not watched it fore they could sit down and watch it. It was 5 seasons full of bliss and pure family bonding. Halimaes character should have been taken over by a look alike actress instead of the story line they were forced to quickly create. I suppose by season 4 the actors had no idea that this drama would captivate the world in a few years otherwise I personally do not think they would have abruptly ended it as they did.
Thanks to EVERY SINGLE ACTOR and ACTRESS who starred in such a drama that changed the lives of many for the good. every single person had phenomenal acting and you are right that Hollywood nor Bollywood nor Korean etc etc can even come close to such phenomenal acting and personalities!

Wonderful series …outstanding actors and acting. You are right on every level. Nothing has ever been the same since I finished watching it. Amazing on every level and I’m about to watch it again for the third time a gazillion episodes but that’s how good it is!

@@themysteriousgamer4061 agree 100% although I did lose interest when they killed off Halime. That was so uncalled for especially as she lived to the same age as Ertugrul and they both died within 6 months of each other. I don’t like it when they change history, there were other options if the actress who played Halime wanted to leave the series and you did suggest one which would have been better. I just did not warm to Ilbilge Hatun and I don’t think it was fair for the creators of this series to think fans would accept her, most didn’t. Anyway apart from that I thoroughly enjoyed all the series but I won’t be watching Kurulus Osman, it’s not the same without the actors and actresses I got used to….that’s just me though

I watched this series from beginning to end, it took me a little over a year to watch in its entirety. Resurrection Ertugrul is unlike anything I've ever watched, it opened my eyes a lot, and even made me cry. I'm not Muslim, but I respect the religion a lot more because of this series. I love how they show and explain their religion to non-Muslims, this is a series that everyone has to watch. Love from America 🇺🇸, and God bless you 🙏.

I wish I could find a way to watch Kurulus: Osman with English subtitles (I needed them for Ertugrul as well, I don't speak Turkish), so far I haven't found it.

Elgin Altan Duziyatan, I hope I’ve spelled his name right, portrayed and played Ertugrul gallantly and heroically. I’ve been watching this series from the beginning so many times, I quit counting. I really don’t care to watch anything else, today’s films lack the quality that make them endure over the ages. I find this series by far the best series I’ve seen in a long time, and with me, it ranks next to one of my favorite movies, that of Ben-Hur, which I also watch many times over during my lifetime and now in my aging years. But also, I don’t know what it is, but every time I watch the film, and even though it doesn’t show this, I keep seeing an image of his family coming up the road and meeting him in Sorgut. I’ve been watching it on Netflix, where I first found it, and I’m hoping to keep watching it there. It’s harder for me to find it on RUclips. Thank you also for the English translation and subtitles, I’ve been able to learn a bit of the language from it, and beginning to understand more of the Turkish history as well. Even though some of it may be Hollywood or inaccurate at times, but also since history with people are incomplete with their lives because of circumstances in wars, the destruction of civilizations and cultures, and written work , much is lost over time. I love history and stories concerning history in films/movies, and Ertugrul is one I never get tired of watching, it is well directed, great actors/actresses, great storyline and well worth watching. It has everything I’m looking for in a film ….faith, family, respect and dignity, compassion, kindness, and courage in facing oppressions. We all need these values and can learn from these simple truths. The Osman series is the same way for me also, and I’ve watched this many times as well. May God/Allah bless everyone….HIGH 5
Watching this series again here in Australia and just loving it. Some of the English sub titles though, are hilarious. As is the complete deafness and lack of periphery vision by everyone. Just wonderful..

@@vitamins1585 that’s subjective dude,I consider engin a legend because he unveiled the characterisation of ertugrul to the world with his brilliant performance and to be peculiar no one knows about ertugrul and stuff before this web series....if I could close my eyes and think of ertugrul,I get only engin in my mind....so to me engin altan is a legend with due respects to Ertugrul ghazi 😊
