For those who are looking for a place to safely dispose of plastic bags or plastic film, some Fred Meyer stores have a drop off bin!

I don’t look like the sort of person who cares, and my classmates laugh at this because of its old style. I think this video should be an advert!

you included toilet paper rolls in the paper mix, but I have been told they have been recycled too many times and they belong in the trash and I think you can throw used cans in general garbage as well, as they are salvaged later.

The paperboard tube is OK (same goes for the paperboard tube in paper towels). It is the actual tissue part (toilet paper/paper towels) that is not recyclable.

Why are milk and juice cartons accepted if waxy boxes like pizza and frozen food boxes aren't accepted? Milk and juice boxes are waxy af.

its a good question. The paper recyclers have said that boxes made for the freezer (frozen pizza, waffles, ice-cream, etc) are soaked in a chemical casually called "wet strength" that prevent those paper fibers from being recycled into other paper products. Cartons (milk cartons, juice boxes, soy milk, etc) are layered materials. They have a plastic lining (and aluminum lining in the case of juice box/soup carton). Normally the paper recyclers don't like this layering. BUT the sorting facility can separate these cartons into their own stream of materials because they don't lay flat like the other paper products and thus can be sent to a different type of paper mill that can handle the different layers. It is often all about the sorting facility equipment.
