Hi Sandy, if utilizing HBP and withdrawing from rrsp. Does it mean I can also withdraw from employer's and employee group plan too or only from individual rrsp contribution that I made as lump sum? Kindly elaborate with example if possible. Thanks
1. How is withdrawal taxed
2. Why repayment after withdrawal ? Is it mandatory
The contribution to RRSP is Tax excepted, so if you contribute 400 CAD, you dont have to pay tax for 400 CAD you earned in that financial Year. when you withdraw you might be reitired and will be lower tax bracket.
