If you are still reading this, here's a little secret: I originaly planned to use this song for a different Animatic that would have shown how the Toads view SMG3. Its easy to forget because the show is so silly, but in the SMG4-Universe, SMG3 is basically the grim reaper. So the Toads would likely be terrified of him and spread rumors around about what he does. Maybe I'll turn this idea into a Comic sometime later.

Yeah, basically!
Mario got hurt during a mission and SMG3 ran back to get the others to save him!
In my "Monster" Animatic, there is a scene at the beginning that shows the Health Reports of the various members of the Crew and as you can see for Mario's entry, he was hurt during a mission

also, a small question: are the birds we see at the start seagulls or albatrosses? the wing shape seems like that of either of those (bird hyperfix moment)

@@winteravian Nothing deep! I just see them a lot, usually hunting mice, and since SMG3 & Maryo were also being hunted I thought of them
