      It's never too much fun being crook in the bush. It's a beautiful spot. Hopefully we can get there again this year as we have been wanting to do the Darling River run for years. Always something stopping us. But anyway.
      Have a great time there this weekend.

    Perhaps a wall at the front leading edge of the 23zero might keep the ladders dry or a shady wall !

      G'day Greg. Yeah that part of the tent has a few design flaws. However we have since started using the zip on room we purchased with it and it's working a treat. It's just a bit tedious setting up and packing up.

    Was just thinking about Menindee lake then you vid pops up. Good to see how the the awning and tent in performing in the rain. Just a side note those opera house nets can’t be used in NSW😢

      @TimRumble  2 года назад +1

      Haha... classic. Good ol Menindee.
      Yeah I've been told about those nets now. So I havn't used them since. I'll get my hands on those pyramid style ones. But thanks for the heads up. Appreciate it.

    Hey Tim, looks like you got a really nice setup against the weather. I thought it was coming on into summer down there. Why is the weather so ordinary? Anyway, a kayak on that lake would be mint! Cheers, Have fun!

    • @TimRumble
      @TimRumble  2 года назад +1

      Oh Ted we've had ordinary weather since crossing into the state of New South Wales. It's been cold and wet for the majority of the last 6 weeks. We've had a great time none the less. I'd love to add a Kayak to our setup. Saw some inflatable models just last week. Very expensive but would be very good.

      @@TimRumble check out the Tucktek folding kayaks, light, compact, cheap. Working out well for us.

    Thanks for another great video. How long does it take for you guys to fully setup the camper. Me and the misso are looking at a camper soon and I very much like yours. But the better half wants something that is quick to setup and pack up.

    • @TimRumble
      @TimRumble  2 года назад +1

      G'day Michael, depending on weather it takes us about 15-20 mins. Just tent and awning and levelling it out. But more like half an hour 40 mins if we setup everything.
      It would be quicker with a hard-shell tent. But we need a big bed as we are both a tad on the taller side.
      Check out those new pod style campers. They have a bed internally and are quite well setup. They are halfway between a small van and a camper. Probably the quickest setup I've seen.

    What time of year is this? I'm off to Menindee next month (August) ... I'm a bit nervous about weather!

      This was October. Don't be worried about weather. It is what it is. Just check it before you go and the current road conditions at the time.

    I really think I'd rather travel in the harder times as I believe it would have much more old school life survival feeling. Rare experiences just like when we were at the Winton dinosaur walk in torrential downpour. Everybody had there brollies out until they seen me enjoying myself, they all caught on and joined me.

    • @TimRumble
      @TimRumble  2 года назад

      Yeah good on ya mate. It's long in the tooth in regards to rain. But we are seeing the country at It's best.
