I subscribed a few months ago and this video inspired me to attempt to clone your setup. Things are going well but what intensity is the light set to? I hope to visit the new store the next time in the area. Keep those great videos coming!
I have a small nano too and I love it. The water chances and dosing are only do from water changes. Which is done from taking water from my main display tank and exchanging it with the water from nano 1/1. Nice tank.
This tank is stunning goes to show less is more and the ease of maintenance is attractive to a new user like me I hope there is an update.watching 3 -4 corals grow and mature is just awesome I assume most people have issues with their is due to overstocking.
Elite Reef Denver mj 1200 with a little modification, aquatop 158 powered, lifeguard quiet one 400, viaAqua va-302 the last three no mods just straight drop in. The mj 1200 and aquatop 158 just have to take off the intake top and set to go
Also have the spec V, no power head but running a Cobalt mj 606 pump with a hydor flo deflector. You do have to take off front guard on cobalt pump to fit.
Elite Reef Denver i think a lot of people would dig it. Such great examples of simple reef keeping with minimal equipment with amazingly beautiful results. Its a nice break away from mega dollar systems you see on youtube. Ps. I want to make a trip over to elite when i come up for reefstock!!!
Alot of people have had issues with surface film and stagnant water on the spec V's. You don't seem to be having that issue and it doesn't look like you're using the intank surface skimmer. So what was your solution as your water looks so pristine?
I couldn't get rid of that film on top either finally I put a zoo med nano 10 canister on back filter and omg my water is pristine and no more film on top.
Nice video...I was wondering I see a lot of fluval 5 owners silicone that bottom vent and drill holes in return pump hose is that really necessary because I want to get this tank and noticed that yours is open and everything looks great
About to purchase this tank and then I found a video about modifying it with silicone to block the lower intake opening and also inside the shaft where the pump is.Is this necessary in your opinion? Also could I just put a stronger pump and do away with the nano pump inside the actual tank? Thanks :)
Elite Reef Denver Thank you for answering! Subscribed a while back when I saw your home tank. Inspired me to go for it and get easy corals. Really loving the videos like this that describe the what’s running the tank and equipment. Thank you again!
I wanted to ask, how does a tank like this get away with not having to use such chemical media’s such as Phosguard, purigen, polyfilter or carbon??? At my LFS I asked what they recommended to put in pico/nano tank and they recommended, phosguard, coral ruble and polyfilter. I just wanted to know how this tank is able to do without it. Thank you!
The biggest factor that lets us get away with simple filtration is that all of our tanks get very regular water changes. About 10% every week does the trick to dilute out the bad elements and replace the good ones.
A bit bigger would definitely be an better start, but these all in one systems get easier all the time. We would recommend checking out something closer to 30 gallons to start.
Wow. Really interesting. Love it.
I have the same tank setup for shrimp freshwater.
I can see why this tank is your favorite, it’s stunning
A sweet tank! That is a perfect desk tank ! Love it !
i have a spec v, just setting up this will be my plan. wow!
Would love to see an update on this stunning nano tank!
I really loved this tank!! It demonstrates that reefing can be simple. Greeting from Argentina :)
Awesome to sea corrals in the fluval 5 gallon. Planning on doing that with ours!
That camera quality. Well done. Nice tank.
I love this tank, that mummy eye chalice looks amazing!

Love this setup! I have the fluval V and love it. Great video..subbed
Nice simple reef.
awesome video, do you have a link to the wave maker ?

How many times you feed the fish ? And do your feed te corals or only waterchange 10%

Nice simple little tank. A buddy just gave me his old.. i dont think the stock light would do much so may keep an eye out for a decent light for it.
Love it. I have a spec myself and have found 3 types of pumps that fit that in that spot

Elite Reef Denver no problem that's why we are reefers. To help out

I've got a sicce micraplus in mine. Works great.
Love the simplicity with tons of beauty. Is it time for an update of the other nanos at Elite Reef Michael?

What is the clean up crew? And what light settings and time are you running?
Very beautiful nano tank man😎
Love that tank. When I first started watching your videos, that one really caught my eye. Well Done!
What kind of wave maker you have for this tank ?
Which model light are you running on that? I can’t tell which Current Marine model it is.
I just got this light for my spec v. Awesome light. Whats your light cycle like?
what the light called ?!
Alot of people have had issues with surface film and stagnant water on the spec V's. You don't seem to be having that issue and it doesn't look like you're using the intank surface skimmer. So what was your solution as your water looks so pristine?
I think the little Koralia we have mounted to the overflow has helped quite a bit. It did have some stagnation issues before we added it.
I couldn't get rid of that film on top either finally I put a zoo med nano 10 canister on back filter and omg my water is pristine and no more film on top.
I have the same setup whats the light schedule and the percentage of RBGW you have it on
Love it 😍 mike my favorite nano tank
Nice
Do you thing the fluval evo 5 stock lighting would support this exact stocking? its supposedly 11 watt led. thanks you.
That’s a beautiful tank ! Question what’s the length size on that Current Orbit Marine Pro light ? Anyone ? Thank you 🙏
It would have to be the 18-24 that is the smallest they make
Nice video...I was wondering I see a lot of fluval 5 owners silicone that bottom vent and drill holes in return pump hose is that really necessary because I want to get this tank and noticed that yours is open and everything looks great
It might help the stock flow pattern to do that mod. We just added a small koralia power head to keep surface film from forming.
@Elite Reef Denver do you know what light that is on there ?
There is not a single post I've found where people drill holes in the pump hose , if you do that, it will destroy your flow rate.
You should do an update on this one!!
i have one the same so what you used for filter just the live rock ?
hi. do you think standard led that comes with the fluval flex 7500K can be used for low light corals ?
Hey! Actual Nano and Pico tanks.
I’ve been trying to find frags of those chalices and can’t find em anywhere!!
Hey there, what's the name of that specific lamp?????
What percentage do you have your rwbg I have the same setup
About to purchase this tank and then I found a video about modifying it with silicone to block the lower intake opening and also inside the shaft where the pump is.Is this necessary in your opinion? Also could I just put a stronger pump and do away with the nano pump inside the actual tank? Thanks :)
I noticed on second viewing that you have no media so the tweak would not really matter for you. Thanks for the answer either way.
What returns pump? Stock?
Awesome nano👍🏼
I wanted to ask how long do you keep the lights on? What is the duration from on to off?
Elite Reef Denver Thank you for answering! Subscribed a while back when I saw your home tank. Inspired me to go for it and get easy corals. Really loving the videos like this that describe the what’s running the tank and equipment. Thank you again!
So cool...!!
What are the color settings set to on your light

Do you dose this tank?
Beautiful nano 🔥
What type of stock return pump did you use?
what lamp are you using?
Where did you get the light strip?
WOW!
Do you feed any of your nanos? If so, target or broadcast and what type of food?
What lighting schedule is that little Beauty?
Lights on this one run for about nine hours every day with no ramping periods.
Would you recommend a tank of this size for a first time reef ?
A bit bigger would definitely be an better start, but these all in one systems get easier all the time. We would recommend checking out something closer to 30 gallons to start.
Do u think I can put the same corals in a 10 gallon nuvo fusion
Definitely possible with the right lighting and care.
What was the meteor shower coral?
Awesome tank!!! Gotta talk the wife into it
Do you manually top off between water changes?
Yes, we fill this one up daily.
@@mikejrice1 I picked up a used Fluval 5 gallon for my wife, just because of this video. Thank you.

Sounds like the band that sings fireflies
Haha sorry guys. I don’t remember anymore what this song was.
No filter floss???
@@mikejrice1 Did it start with no filtration in the sump or did you have to use it until the live rock matured enough to handle the bio load?
No mechanical filtration at all!
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Mj 1200 just a little modification nothing major
What light are you using?
Whats the light fixture you're using on this?
