I am the proud original owner of a 1994 Jumbo OM (Adirondack/Rosewood). I talked directly with Dana all those years ago to develop the specs that I wanted and he gave me excellent recommendations and suggestions. I still love this guitar (serial number 000194 ) and play it often. I also have a 2008 Country Boy Deluxe (Adirondack/Figured Mahogany). These are two of my most treasured guitars. Impeccably built and voiced to perfection. Thanks for the nice video.
We seem to be living in a time where boutique acoustic guitars have never been more appealing from the standpoint of craftsmanship & the resulting acoustics. I truly believe that this will always be lost if the production quantity overtakes the quality to further business bottom line. Dana & many others are seeing to it that this sensibility is maintained. When something rare gets stretched too thin, it gets weak. So nice that you had the opportunity John, to grow your understanding with Dana. There's something to be said for that when applying any tool. Thanks again.
53rd subscriber LIKE; 1,002nd desktop studio view. This has been a highlight episode... XLNT info & perspective about building great-sounding instruments. IMHO, Bedell and Bourgeois have 'raised their game' on par with the James Olson (James Taylor & Phil Keaggy) caliber, when it comes to purity & quality of the tone = best ear candy.
Thanks, John, and all. Dana makes a superb guitar with a voice that usually compliments mine. What's that new body shape you showed at NAMM with a curved back for rhythm?
As a proud owner of a Bourgeois OM, I am really pleased to see you highlight this fantastic luthier. ❤
I sincerely appreciate hearing from masters like Mr. Bourgeois. I am a VERY amateur luthier and his commitment to craft is inspirational
great mini doc on a great guitar builder and his team .. .
Thanks!
Great story and absolutely beautiful instruments in every sense!
Truth!
Loves me some Bourgeois voicing videos, thanks.

Wow these guitars look awesome! What kind of dog is that in the beginning of the video?
We're not too sure.
Sorry to hear of all the terrifying trouble you guys have had up there. Hope everyone's AOK.
