This track is incredible!! And just for you, the writing and production on this track come down to three people: Anderson .Paak, Bruno Mars, and D’Mile (as far as we know). D’Mile is a producer/writer that can REALLY play instruments, he’s contributed a lot to the recent R&B sounds of Victoria Monét, Lucky Daye’s Painted album, and a couple of H.E.R. tracks as well. He really loves using live instruments in his production, which is why Bruno reached out to him for a writing/production partner for every track on this album. It’s a perfect fit for Silk Sonic, and I’m so glad that he’s involved in this process. This song is full of their hilarious personalities, phenomenal performances from Bruno and Andy, and D’Mile adds so much to the mixes and production on this album. An Evening with Silk Sonic is about to be an instant timeless classic, and I can’t wait to celebrate this achievement for years 🔥

I found out about D'Mile via Lucky Daye and loved what I heard. So I am pleasantly surprised he is heavily involved in this Silk Sonic project too, I can't wait for the whole album!

Andy does a phenomenal job on drums for every song (except for Smokin Out The Window and After Last, which was provided by a guest musician and Bruno respectively) and Bruno’s playing congas, guitar, sitar, among other instruments all over the project. I’m just trying to highlight D’Mile as a musician for playing piano and bass all over Silk Sonic and helping Bruno mix the songs incredibly well. He’s just as vital to the sound, that’s all I meant 😅
Every time you start playing after hearing the song it amazes me. Pure talent! ☺️

I'm a music teacher in Detroit, my kids tried to play it for me on Friday lol I was like "Nooooo, we can't play that in school!" Needless to say, the kids know great music when they hear it. My mom loves it as well. Kudos to the young legends .Paak and Mars for making music that brings people together.

Bruno is an old school soul singer. He loves it. And Us old school folks are glad that Those guys stepped up. From late 60's n early 70's. Live musicians and top singers. We grew up with this. You can feel it better
You're absolutely right, Bruno is a beast! He's so talented.....and this album exposed me to Anderson .Paak for the first time, but it's definitely not the last time I'll listen to him!. Their stellar musicianship as well as their classic sound speaks to my Motown-girl soul. I also love the musicality of your reactions: we speak about what we think about, and it shows your profound, absolute love and talent for music. Too many artists today depend on the studio instead of the instrumentality of music.....they have to have someone else play before they can sing. You are indeed right. All of the songs in this album has musical formula similarities. Even the part where you played in the middle reminds me of Bruno's Versace on the floor. These guys are just top notch🔥

Most Motown music tended to have orchestral arrangements! That's why the guitar here takes a secondary function...Just to add background spice...Silk Sonic are really setting the bar with these singles...Other musicians have to really start getting creative now and keep up with Silk Sonic.

To answer that question you had yes she needs to give it back., because yes if she doesn't she is trifling and Anderson was absolutely correct in his comment about that. I've noticed a surprising number of women who have watched the videos as they have been released who will comment about all the other songs in this album but say very little or almost nothing about this one. If you've ever experienced this in your own life you can understand why men are going crazy over this song., under the humor of this video, that pain is real if you've ever been through it ., and it can really change how you feel about women. ... I'm just saying
For any fool with the money to waste buying flights and diamonds for a woman he's not even dating, spending said money on flights and diamonds for woman he is not dating, this is simply karma. For us normal people, the things you'd be giving back for the breakup would be like.... a sweater, a CD, a plain silver chain, which is, incredibly petty to ask back unless any of that holds sentimental value lol! Now, for people who have been together a while, who are living together or married, that'd be understandable because you've invested a surplus of time into that individual and will likely have been contributing to keeping their life afloat in some way (as they have for you, too). But for real though, men are 1000% allowed to write scathing breakup songs about women, this song SLAPS! I mean personally, I'm not a fan of men **or** women using the word "b*tch", but as a young woman myself, the first time I heard Mr Paak come in like that, I cackled and grinned so hard! Also, don't forget, not all of us are in the comments thirsting over Bruno and Anderson and can easily "pass" for men due to anonymity online, so there are likely way more women in the comments section than you think. Alot of people have dropped off this project though anyways, due to the switch-abouts with the album release, and Adele, Taylor Swift, and Little Mix all dropping this month too. All love, but just remember, yeah the money thing is totally a more male-centric experience so I get why guys are loving it especially, but I've been sugar mommy to a few guys in my time and I'm not even mid-twenties yet oof (and I'm sure the lesbians and bi women are eating this up, just as much as y'all!) 💗

Love everything they are doing! To answer to your question she / he should give back the items but however as many judge shows I’ve watched since they were bought for them it’s a gift and they don’t have to give back. Silk Sonic album comes out Friday can’t wait to see what else is in store

From the credits it seems the musicians are Anderson Paak, Bruno Mars and Dernst "D'Mile" Emile. D'Mile is a multi instrumentalists producer who's on so many amazing r&b songs by Lucky Daye, H.E.R, India Shawn, Joyce Wrice & Victoria Monet and won a Grammy & an Oscar last year with H.E.R. I'm sure Anderson Paak played the drums and D'Mile is an amazing bassist but just as amazing on keys & guitar and we know Bruno is just as good as a singer as he's a multi instrumentalist.
Actually Ella Feingold is the one credited for playing the rhythm guitar on this song as she mentioned it on her instagram.

Man did pop baladas, modern r&b and commercial pop for almost a decade but when he saw that there was a want for things like Uptown Funk and artists like The Weeknd he must've thought "Imma change it up a bit". The new soul and r&b revolution coming in hot.
Legally they don’t have to return the gifts however if someone gives another person engagement ring and they accept it they do have to return the ring because the ‘gift’ is contingent on the marriage therefore if there is no marriage then contractually the agreement was broken. Therefore engagement ring should be returned to the giver.

Out of all the commentaries I’ve watched I liked yours the best . Silk Sonic is one of the best of the best from my generation in the 60’s and 70’s when music was really music and you had groups that played their own instruments and there wasn’t all this synthesizing voices and you had to be able to Sang and the new generation. They’ve given me some hope for music again 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
