Hi Gary. That Shaw is beautiful breathtaking it looks so difficult. Your stitch work and colors are amazing. It is a nice size happy crocheting and knitting🧶☕🌟🌺⭐
My ✨️ "GOODNESS" ✨️ Gary, you are beyond talented. You have an amazing talent in both #crochet and #knitting but you are excellent in putting colors together...✨️ 👑 ✨️
Just adore your shawl Gary! Also the colours of yarn that you purchased are so beautiful & when you held them up together, looked like they were designed to go together in a garment! Always so talented & amazing with colour choices 🥰. Great video once again, cheers 🤗❤️🥰👏😍💕
That bobble SHAWL IS GORGEOUS 😍😍😍! I love the way you done the bottom of it! I think it looks so nice without the extra 10 rows! Gary, you do such fantastic work 💯👏👏👏😊
Your shawl is beautiful, the combination of different stitches is great. You picked up some very pretty colors of yarn from the yarn festival. I’m looking forward to seeing the projects you make with those lovely yarns. 🧶💜🙏🏻
The Novela is another breathtaking FO. The video snippet of you unrolling it...😍😍😍 It's always good when you can shop local or local-ish and those yarns are gorgeous. I would mix and match over and over again without being able to make a final decision. 🙃I would need someone else to agree with me before I started my project. ☺😉
Two and a half years! Somehow it feels like just last year (in my mind). I know I already said on Instagram but I really love the shawl you made. The colors, pattern and the way you used the colors. Absolutely beautiful! The play of colors is very eye catching
Love the Novela shawl. The pattern looks so intricate. Will be interested to see how it works up with a thinner yarn. I particularly love the Linus shawl…the colors are speaking to me. Your hexagons are beautiful. Interesting yarn acquisitions. Looking forward to your makes with them.🥰
Thanks for the comment and the compliment on the shawl. I'm starting on a lightweight Yaga Yaga in a week or two (a different pattern though from Novela).
Your yaga yaga shawl is absolutely stunning 👌.. and the Linus scarf is gorgeous - I am so looking forward to seeing your amagarumi cat too - the pattern looks so cute. Thanks for another awesome video 😊💯🧶
Hello there Gary 👋 Absolutely love the Linus Shawl 🎉❤❤❤ I have been trying to find a similar pattern in a crochet version but no luck yet 😞 There's a lot of asymmetrical versions but I have not been fond of that type 😕 As always your work is beautiful 🎉 See you soon 🎉
All beautiful projects especially the Novella shawl!!! Cute Albert arigarumi. I don't make arigarumi but I think I need a support chicken! LOL The yarns r really nice! Have a great weekend!
Really like yarns named after wines! I thought your Novela shawl was done last video. It keeps getting better and better. I found it interesting how you planned out your colours for the Nature's walk blanket. I printed off the pattern - was amazed to see all the instructions in both US and UK terminology. I see I have more planning ahead. Take care.
Hi Valerie - I did feature the completed Novela in the last video to explain how it was made from a mood board (as the example), but I did want to feature it again to talk more about the make, what I learnt, pit-falls, alterations etc. That's why it appeared again.
So much going on in your making life! I always look forward to your videos. Almost finished with my Yaga Yaga Bayka and looking forward to making more. For that shawl I'm using an Ice Yarn: silk merino hand dyed, 50g 330m (lace wt) in a dill pickle olive green. 80%merino, 20% silk
Yay! The Bayka was my first Yaga Yaga and a great pattern. I hoped you enjoyed making it too. I bet using the silk merino that the shawl is wonderful and squishy!
I like all that yarn you purchased. I am familiar with all those companies & hav3 bought from all of them. I particularly liked the last one from That Yarn Habit.
Hi Judy - I'm extremely happy to have that nearly local to me store open up. It looks as though they had a few Canadian yarn dyers and I'm eager to take page out of your book to shop more Canadian.
Has it REALLY been over 2 years since you moved!?!? I remember long before then!! I also prefer my 5" tips, they DO "fit" better. Still jealous that there are no yarn festivals near me, or a GOOD LYS!! The only option even close is the Sierra Nevada Yarn Crawl in September, the closest shop is over 2 hours away....ending with Jimmy Beans wools, which is 4.5 hours away.
Hi Patti. I feel your pain when you write about the distances between yarn stores and not having a festival that's local in your area. It's like you'd be traveling all day to chance that you'd find what you're looking for. I'd save up that energy and funds for a good yarn festival and stay overnight!
That shawl with the beautiful stitches is out of this world. I really love it. Curious.....I always am! What might you be doing with the daisy bouquet of tiny minis?
Hi Gary! I went to Herr Wolle's sight and tried to order one of his Albert's. Pattern and yarn. He doesn't ship to my reason. Oregon, USA, is there a way to get the pattern for Albert?
Hey, did you get a haircut recently?? Your hair looks especially great today!! 👍 Great video!!! Love the skinny scarf. Great yarns. That gray shawl with cables/bobbles is AMAZING!!! Great job!! I always love to see your work and yarns. I buy yarn mostly online. So I love you tell us about different yarns. And SOFTNESS is very good to hear about. Thank you for doing that. I want to tell you something, and I don't intend to be "mean" or such. I love you & your channel ❤ !! So I hope nobody gets upset with me. But, money paid thru Affiliate Links is called a Commission. Its only a "thing" cuz "Kickbacks" are illegal, in USA and Canada, because they are "Bribes". Sorry, but I'm a legal accountant, and we never say Kickback. LOL! Its a THING in business. I know it's petty for most non-business people, but I figure if you use the word, you'd prefer to know the meaning. Please please don't anyone be offended by my comment. I know you are a sweetheart, Gary. Please tell me if my comment is wrong to post. TFS!! Austin TX USA
Hi there Barbara - please don't feel bad. I value this advise, as you say, I'm not versed in the on goings of the correct terms or jargon. I appreciate to be pointed in the correct direction. From here on in, I'll use the term "Commission". This is very much what I thought the slang word was when I used "Kickback". I now know the difference. Thank you!
@urbanyarn I'm so HAPPY you aren't mad at me!!! I never want to be mean to others. And I wouldn't ever want to hurt your feelings. I've wrestled with telling you for months. But finally decided you'd prefer to know. I know exactly what you MEAN when you say kickback. I always said it. Till I got pulled into CFOs office about it. Especially working in international accounting. He made a big deal about it and I never forgot it! LOL! Thanks for being such a cool & kind person!! Love from Austin TX USA
You do good work, young man. The Yaga Yaga Novela Shawl is stunning. It will certainly keep someone very warm. Wow. --- Oh, oh. I was under the impression that one is NEVER to use fabric softeners with yarn, but to use vinegar instead. I don't know for certain, so please let me know what your experience is. Thank you. --- Could you also, at some point at your convenience, do a class about blocking - anything and everything and all types of yarns, please. Albert's nose looks very bear-like to me, at least from what I can see on my phone screen. Am I wrong? Difficult for me to see. Sorry. The book looks wonderful. Loved the Okanagan and the Beach Swell yarn colorways. Love your channel.
Hello Marpro! I'd be happy to feature blocked pieces when works are at that stage. Thank you for the suggestion. I'm not sure if they will be strictly classes as such, but I most certainly can do a time capture and voice over style under a minute recording. I agree with your about Albert the Cat looking very much like a bear! Cat-like-Bear creature... he was so fun to do that I've started a second one.
Wow! Waking up to see your works, woke me up😅. Hanks is giving me Scotland yard/Victorian vibes. The tweed shawl might be the most beautiful one I've ever seen. Your job of infusing different yarns looks so deliberate. A perfect hombre. The lightweight pastel is beautiful, and I'm not into pastels, gorgeous. I can't wait to see your hexi done 😮.
Gary, what is a gate? I've never heard that expression. I'm sure it'll be as beautiful as last years. Sounds like an amazing festival 😀. Omgosh, those are the only reds I like. It's my accent color in my house, dark blood red❤. Crystal had a beautiful red the other day I'm going to order. Stunning purchases, I love them all ❤😊❤
LOL - Hi Lisa. The Gate is the name of the square motif that I was showcasing on the channel. I'm sorry if I sounded confusing. I thought of Crystal too when I saw the Blood Moon colour way!
Such beautiful work you do. I'm inspired yet again. 💞
Thanks so much 😊
The 3 shawls are gorgeous! You are so talented! Love the haircut!
Thank you so much Emme!
The novella Shawl is the most architectural piece I’ve ever seen. Love it-an understatement!!!

Hi Gary! That Nolvela shawl is so beautiful. I really enjoyed seeing your FO’s and WiPs. Can’t wait to see Albert finished. 🤗🧶

I have to say - that shawl is absolutely stunning! I would love to make something like that eventually, but I'm still a relative beginner in crochet.

Good idea for a name!

Such a plethora of beauty and talent. Do you remember the pattern for the crochet s arf that looked like brioche?
I think that might be the Calm Sea Scarf you are recalling.
@@urbanyarn thank you!
That shawl with the beautiful stitches is out of this world. I really love it. Curious.....I always am! What might you be doing with the daisy bouquet of tiny minis?
The daisy bouquet of minis I was thinking of doing a Stephen West pattern.
Excellent choice!!!! I love his designs. I’ll be watching for which pattern! ♥️🧶😃🧶♥️
I suggest Purrr-ide for your pride cat.💕🌈

I'm not sure Linda how the pattern isn't available to you. That is extremely strange. Have you google searched another avenue to try purchasing it?
Hello Gary. Sorry I am so late to watching this episode.
No apologies necessary Lynette - you've arrived precisely at the perfect time!
