While it was torn down, I’d have checked the price of new fuel filter.
Hoping the gasket gets you fixed up and back on the road 😎👍

Are you talking about that little pad inside the fuel filter?

If so, I think I did try to find a replacement when I first got the bike because I had to clean that tank out before I wrote it so I’ve been in there before it’s not too bad of a project. Need to look up that pad again to remember. Thank you so so much.

Some evapo rust or CLR industrial rust remover might help. I would say it’s the gasket.causing the leak

Yes, when I first got it it had set for four years with the small amount of fuel in it so it got pretty rusty in there. I soaked it with white vinegar overnight head 4 1/2 gallons in it upside down and broke the fuel cap doing it, so yeah it’s been interesting job, but it seems to do OK with that little bit of rust. I hadn’t replaced so many other things on the bike when I first got it I would’ve just bought another nice used one.
