SATURDAY NIGHT Q&A with Willem Dafoe, Jason Reitman & Gabriel Labelle | TIFF 2024

“This is one of those rare premieres where we have everybody,” SATURDAY NIGHT director Jason Reitman said while introducing the movie for its Canadian Premiere at TIFF ‘24. “I think 70 per cent of the crowd tonight actually made the movie.”
In addition to the crew members in the audience, the post-show Q&A may have broken a TIFF record for most cast members onstage at once: Gabriel LaBelle, Rachel Sennott, Nicholas Podany, Corinne Britti, Billy Bryk, Kirsty Woodward, Nicholas Braun, Mcabe Gregg, Taylor Gray, Kaia Gerber, Andrew Barth Feldman, Tommy Dewey, Matt Wood, Kim Matula, Dylan O'Brien, Emily Fairn, Lamorne Morris, Ella Hunt, Cory Michael Smith, J.K. Simmons, and Willem Dafoe - or, as Reitman calls them, “the best f**king ensemble cast of all goddamn time.”

I am so happy about this movie I can't wait to see it soon. A great cast and a great director if this movie doesn't get nominated for an Oscars I will be pissed and it should have won the PCA it got robbed.

​@@romy3265We'll see. Might be select theatres for the first week or two but I cannot see this film not getting a wide release after. Sometimes the studio's strategy for mounting an awards campaign - gradual rollout.
