@jenniferharris1280 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 and you employ other capable people in the process. It's a win-win for both parties. If you are doing something to, build your confidence in your ability to do this if you have to, is a beat around the bush way of saying, having independence. The illogic of shunning independence is based on this false premise males have conditioned yall with believing Independence is bad. It is in fact important for every person to have independence, especially Black women.
Thank you so much for watching and for the kind words! Sometimes you just gotta get things done, no complaints here! Your support means the world! 🙌😊 Hi Desire
I grew up doing for myself. I changed out auto alternators, brake shoe pads, faucets and plumbing, took out & put in toilets, windows, I built a 6ft. Wide entertainment center, my childrens captains bunk beds complete with drawers and I finished each piece. I learned to and taught my kids to can and put up foods from our garden as well as make jams and jellies. I made patterns and sewed my children's clothing, curtains, drapes, bed spreads and quilts. There are so many projects that I got to do with my kids that they are too numerous to name. We had a blast doing every one of them. Necessity is the mother of invention. You did an awesome job and we made some great memories. I'm now in my 70's and he has passed and the kids grown married and gone all said and done I can take care of me. I'd love to see you do your thing.
I loved this. She didn't act helpless and showed how capable she is. Yes, he could have done it instead of helping others but by her doing this, she enabled her man to help others. So, bottom line, she did this and helped others at the same time! High quality folks here
But if you start small, just gardening. You'll build that strength up. Woman gave Extraordinary amounts of strength in our legs and lower backs. Because we carry children. Our bodies are built. My children doesn't matter because your body is still designed for that ability and because of this. You have extraordinary amounts of strength in your back and your legs. You just have to use them. Make a point of bending over and picking up a 1 gallon jug. A 1 gallon jug of milk or water weighs 8.73 pounds I think . I googled and double checked. Think how often you carry a gallon jug. Now a half full jug and swing it around your body, I hand to the next. Tie a rope to it for easier handling. That is one of the best workouts for your core. It activates stomach, back and arm muscles. Then you just add water to the jug to increase your workout. Put some fun music on, and you'll be not just feeling stronger but more confident. So when you see a video like this, you'll say, "I want to do something like that one garden!" The only one holding you back is ypu, as your mew self appointed bestie, I won't let you discourage my friend.

Its kinda sad women can't just say we want to be independent anymore without people getting mad. There's nothing wrong with being independently capable of doing tasks even if you have a husband.
@@andrewbailey9453Because she doesn’t need her husband to do every little thing for her. In the modern day, getting married no longer means the woman 100% submits to the husband. They’re more often than not partners, and both can work together to help the family unit while they work in different skills. This is just one of her skills she’s honing, and thus is very independent with tasks within her skillset.
You will find out, that this kind of work, gives you much better results then a gym. I think it has something to do with, being outside, breathing fresh air, and connection to nature. You go GIRL
I have no idea what it is but strength built from working and strength built in the gym is completely different. I used to help fit carpets and lifting massive rolls everyday made me stronger after a month than I was from going to the gym.
its cuz physical labor jobs works muscles that you use everyday for hours at a time, gym workouts are localized to arms Monday, core Tuesday, legs Wednesday, etc.

I love how you explained it in a way that I've never thought to: you're not trying to be "independent" but to build your confidence in your ability to do things if you HAVE to. WOW! Thank you for this. I'm 62 and struggle to explain why I don't hire people to do things -this right here my little sister! Thank you!❤ you and your husband are amazing people!
right? people ask ME why i do hire people to do things i COULD do myself. i say because i don't want to do it and i can afford help. we can never make choices that strangers will approve of.
That's right sista. I've been married for over 50 years and I have to tell my husband that I need to know how to do stuff because he won't be around always...I hope he didn't take it the wrong way.
@jenniferharris1280 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 and you employ other capable people in the process. It's a win-win for both parties. The first time I utilised a laundry service after a long-term hospitalization and a maid service/moving company to facilitate a major residential move is when I realized that seeking support from skilled, vetted laborers is a powerful form of self-care😊😅
If you are doing something to, build your confidence in your ability to do this if you have to, is a beat around the bush way of saying, having independence.
The illogic of shunning independence is based on this false premise males have conditioned yall with believing Independence is bad. It is in fact important for every person to have independence, especially Black women.
😊
I love the way you speak and then say, "I should've done it, I ain't complaining." You did an awesome 👌 job!!!! 👏 👏 👏 👏
Thank you so much for watching and for the kind words! Sometimes you just gotta get things done, no complaints here! Your support means the world! 🙌😊 Hi Desire
Proud of you Sis!
You are inspiring.
Did you take training classes using tools and wood, or any other creative classes to enhance your skills
Wonderful Well done
U go girl!!!
I loved this. She didn't act helpless and showed how capable she is. Yes, he could have done it instead of helping others but by her doing this, she enabled her man to help others. So, bottom line, she did this and helped others at the same time! High quality folks here

I'd do it if I physically could. My back hurts just watching this. She's a powerful woman. 💪
So when you see a video like this, you'll say, "I want to do something like that one garden!" The only one holding you back is ypu, as your mew self appointed bestie, I won't let you discourage my friend.

that's the most stupidest, dumbest, feminist response any woman can say haha.
her phone, wifi, social media, apps, her house, doors, beds, sofa, car, operative machine, factories. everything is done by men. this bitch talking about you don't need no man after learning from a man, women that know how to do stuff like this 90% learned from a man how to do it.

Very impressive!!! Love to see women accomplish this type of stuff. You did a wonderful job!!!
Girl, you are FIRE! I used to do stuff like this, but now I'm 61 and need a hip replacement. It's SO frustrating because I can't do what I used to do. This is awesome!
I wish you the best recovery ever for your hip replacement journey. My father had one years ago, also frustrated at his limitations to this day but take it easy please!! It’s your time to rest and relax.
❤ I LOVE IT!! You did a great job!! I have been thinking about extending my driveway to the side of my house. I closed on the house in April; but every time I contact anyone about ANYTHING-tree removal, fence installation, porch enclosure, garage/basement door replacement, etc, they ALL had the first instinct to over quote me. While I am still fairly young (46) and strong enough to do it on my own, these are skills I never had that opportunity to learn as a youth. My husband is going on 72, cannot lift those bags anymore, and lol still gets in his feelings about his wife being able to lift and learn. (He is not used to women being able to do things on their own.) I have been having bags of paver base in my basement for weeks lol, and I would love to see you give a breakdown of the step, tools, and materials for projects like this. Thanks ✊🏽
Anyone see what's happening on the background. Hope it's just a paintball party.

Love this. Men and women have their own opinions on certain things, however this warms the heart. He tried to help but she wanted to do it on her own. They’re still a team and possibly have a good balance. Who said a man has to do EVERYTHING? There are different lifestyles for a reason. People must do what works for them. Thank you for being a great example.
I can't lie: I love this. I love your content, I love your approach. I hope you are massively successful and influential with this channel.
Its kinda sad women can't just say we want to be independent anymore without people getting mad. There's nothing wrong with being independently capable of doing tasks even if you have a husband.
its fragile masculinity. they get really upset when women dont want a man
How is she independent with a husband. That makes no sense
exactly it's so sad
@@andrewbailey9453Because she doesn’t need her husband to do every little thing for her. In the modern day, getting married no longer means the woman 100% submits to the husband. They’re more often than not partners, and both can work together to help the family unit while they work in different skills. This is just one of her skills she’s honing, and thus is very independent with tasks within her skillset.
Love this… get it girl. Come to my house I got loads you can do for me

Love love love this! You do some amazing work, sis!
Piss on anyone who comes at you about being independent. You're damned if you do and damned if you don't!! You do what makes you happy!❤ Great job!🎉

Its awesome this lady feels this confident to do to her own work and her hubs wanted to show off her work. It's great that you two have such a good relationship.
Good relationship ?? Wtf she clearly disrespected him and could have gotten her point across without throwing him under the bus. But if a man did what she did. He would be problem ? 😂
@vickg9218 If the guy felt truly disrespected, why would he have posted this video basically, flaunting the fact that his wife did a beautiful job and let her take the reins about her process? It's possible she's overbearing and actually disrespectful, but I get the impression that they can rib each other like this and not have it destroy their relationship.
@@vickg9218it’s clearly satire you complete and utter dweeb. Why do you think they uploaded it? You definitely don’t get invited to parties
