Been using a scooter for transport the last 2 months, then I remembered I have a small nitro motor from 10 years ago (out of a model plane a friend of mine crashed before he moved continent) Really keen to make this happen for daily use, mostly just to break through the wind I'm up against.
The spindle up against the tire needs to be wayyyyy smaller in order for the engine to get to proper operating RPM. Won't have enough torque down low at its current rpm.
That thing is extremely underpowered. The fuel tank is so small you can run the engine for only a few minutes. That's if the connecting rod or crankshaft doesn't break first. Run it for a few more minutes and the clutch is toast. Yeah that's a good design.
I think the rc car it came from could tow faster. This could use some small improvements and might be practical sort of. These motors do have alot of power but they need higher rpm to access it.
have you thought about trying to add a small rc engine to a lightweight 16 speed bicycle? i've always wondered how well it would pull a full size person.

I build RC trucks,you will split the connecting rod revving it like that,not good for them lil motors,it's a fail,sorry,plus that clutch is the size of a quarter,you smoked it after the 3rd run

You need to head over to Endless Sphere. Lipos and high torque electric motors are the future...here now. Silent, fast, and with serious range. Love the nitro scooter, but those skills of yours could be producing some serious fun machines.

Well executed but it doesnt look like its capable to accelerate a person at all. It just screams, but nothing happens.
In fact, it was only designed to maintain the speed after human acceleration.
