If you played the position you know it was bang-bang a football hit and he had to make the hit because he was screened by another player so you have to make sure you know his ass out of bounds or to the turf. That’s why CU didn’t whine about it just their fans did. If you played you know the difference.
@@JoeBroback played the position at that level. It was a football play. The twist and spin was because he hit outside edge of shoulders , it was not a driving hit. Bear kit down and think of the physics.
@@JoeBroback one step maybe, how late was the Sanders hit on Horton after the TD pass, or the late hit on CSU QB, or the eye gouging not called which led to a retaliatory hit by CSU player(not saying the retaliatory hit was right). I am just saying, slow mo makes every hit look worse, and in FB time even if you pull up a little which the safety did, it is still a lot of force. I don’t fault either player, sander the safety or the CSU safety for a step or two decelerating hit. It’s freaking football. But then again, I still love Dick Butkus, Jack Tatum, and Steve Atwater. So my frame of reference will never align with the softer version of football played today.

I’d recommend going back and watching it again because it was way late and Colorado was very animated about it
