Watching this great interview, my opinion is that KSA just didn't want to help this man or maybe he is not destined to receive assistance from the king, KSA must have employed countless number of people after him, I salute his courage, he is an hustler, a relentless one at that, he deserves to be a superstar, nice job Mr. Dele I love your style, you are a great interviewer, kudos.

My dear friend, what you said isnt really so
This man obviously doesn't really need such help as he is already equipped with all he needs to succeed by God. He only needs direction, time and hardwork. check out his story from childhood and you will see that. KSA understands this. Money isnt everything.
This happened to me over 25 years ago when i wanted to start a business. I already got all i needed for the business but only need money for a shop. I went to see an Uncle who i felt will be able to help as he is comfortable finacially. He asked me one question; If he gives me money for the shop and one way or the other i loose the money,, what will i do? He said i will come back to him for more or look elsewhere for assistance. He applauded me for what i have done so far and told me to go and think of how to get the rest for a shop. He said the minute i can solve that, even if i loose it, i will know how to make the money back without help.
I felt a bit dissapponted then though funny enough not so bad. I decided to see the positive in what he was saying even if not totally correct. Today, i kid you not, i blesss God he didnt help me. I am much more in a better place now and if i had started the business then, i may have not being succeful in it or by now have closed the business cos several who started aint doing it again. This will make me seem a wasteful person to him and even if i did another business to make it, he will always think he was the one that made me be who i am today.
We always feel entitled and expect someone will do the magic for us. Expect nothing from anyone so you dont get dissappointed. Let your focus be on God. The heart of men are in His hands and he can channel it to whereever he so pleases. If God wills it, even your enemy will willingly and gladly give you what you require without hussel and without you asking.
See the man today. He is very cool and even humble with it. Everywhere he went success followed him as he worked hard to taking opportunities as it comes his way and only God creates those opportunities...we only need to recognise them and take charge (The dues KSA asked him to go pay)
He was also very humble. Check out most of those we expect monetary favours from, they struggled growing up and aquiring wealth. When they eventually do, they stay humble as they remember where they are coming from which is why they last unlike those born with a silver spoon who mostly are arrogant and some never stay relevant for long. KSA understands this and knew giving him money isnt really what the guy requires...he only needs direction to the right part and KSA played his part directing him to music. To be honest, the school supplied them instruments...free. So KSA giving him money for instrument doesnt mean that is what will make him succeed. He is on a journey. DEstined
It wont cost KSA anything to have allowed the guy join his band, but he wanted him to be successful, to be educated and make it strong and he knew he wont achieve that being a part of his boys playing for him and protected him from associating with thse of them who are diabolic. Most of these musicians were school drop outs. Salawa Abeni, KSA etc all later learnt to speak well after cos education is very importnt. From the guys story, you will know KSA really loved him.
Money isnt everything. Lets not feel so entitled. We worship money a lot and have no clue how to keep it as you cant keep what you dont know how to make. Igbos have learnt this. You need to pay your dues. Thats why before they help a brother, he would have served under them for years learning the ropes and understanding how to make and keep money.
Reason one of the richest man in the world promised never to give any of his children his wealth but will give to charity. Its seem cruel but is really not. Most of these kids end up in drugs and wasting the wealth as they never really need to make money which is already available to them from their parents. they only need to dip into it and help themselves. We mostly misuse things gotten on a platter of gold than what we really work hard for. Thats the idea.

Thank you for the interviews, every musicians should learn form his story...From what I can deduce from the interview, this man is a great musician and with wonderful experience...he looks much yonger than his age... but, there are lessons from how is musical path was...Musician should learn and not throw stones...
I believe his story is enough to set him on platforms for current musicians to learn. We need as many that can help to contribute or make conntecting inputs to the history of Nigeria (Yoruba) popular from 1900 till date and stories of artist that have contributed but locally and intertionally..

Another train accident actually occurred in 1983,between Lalupon and Olodo station involving the Kano to Lagos train. Iwas then also a staff with the railways that time and mu duty was to be checking passenger tickets on train between Ibadan and Jebba. I was lucky not be on that train that due to some family commitments, but I quickly rushed to the station at Dugbe to meet the returning train, only to meet everyone in sorrows with the bad news of the accident. Thank God for his mercies, maybe I would have been a victim too. Yes, Akin George is right that accident actually happened at the same area the 1957 happened. My self and Akin even worked together at Ilorin station a couple of years before the incident.
