  • Mango Trees and Citrus Trees are not native to this part of Mexico, but most of the rest of the trees in this video are growing in their native range. The diversity and ease of which these trees grow is astounding. For a fruit enthusiast like me, walking around this area was like going to an amusement park!

When we were in Puerto Vallarta last time, we walked past an empty lot that was barred off. Some kids somehow had gotten inside and were picking huge mangos from the ground. They shared some through the bars with us! Best mango I've had in years!

Sour orange is used in many carribean recipes and in marinades for meat

Fun vodeo! Years ago when I was in Cuba, I came across a couple of guys throwing rocks at coconuts hanging from a tree. I watched them for a minute then decided to join them. After a few minutes we each had a coconut and went our separate ways happy.
I've been tempted to plant seedlings in the canyons near the streams around San Diego to see if they grow and produce a good fruit.

paradise. reminds me of when i visited my gran's village in hong kong, fewer trees each time as new homes were built in place of shanty homes. even though the new homes that had some garden space did not replant new fruit trees, it was sad.

I am wondering what the avocados taste like. I bet not as good as in your garden. Nice trip into Mexico. You really get around. Cheers 🥂

Can avocados be grafted, if so, to what host tree?
