  • Introducing the NxTAG® CoV Extended Panel (RUO)
The panel is a qualitative, multiplex, nucleic acid test for the detection of SARS-CoV-2, MERS-CoV, and SARS-CoV nucleic acids in human respiratory samples. Designed for use on the MAGPIX® System, the NxTAG CoV Extended Panel detects three separate SARS-CoV-2 gene targets to ensure accurate, reliable results.
The NxTAG CoV Extended Panel uses lyophilized, pre-plated wells that can be separated to test up to ninety-six samples in a single batch, and results are available in approximately three hours post-extraction by following the three easy steps of the NxTAG chemistry workflow
Step one, add the extracted nucleic acid sample to the sealed well containing lyophilized bead reagents, and then seal the reaction for PCR with the provided foil.
Step two, place the sealed plate on the thermal cycler, and perform a two-hour integrated PCR and bead hybridization on the samples.
Step three, transfer the sealed plate directly to the MAGPIX System and initiate the run. At the end of the run, Luminex’s SYNCT Software prepares a report for up to 96 samples.
The NxTAG CoV Extended Panel is a highly-scalable, cost-effective solution
for the detection of SARS-CoV-2, MERS-CoV, and SARS-CoV and it can process up to 96 samples in approximately 4 hours, including extraction.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
