I bought one of these from ebay for £60 as a non runner. I thought I'd use it to learn how to strip and repair watches, however I accidentally knocked it off the kitchen surface onto the hard floor and it's worked perfectly ever since.
I have this exact watch from 1982 that my late brother bought in Spain while he was in the Marines. I loved it when he came home from overseas and when he passed several years ago it was the one thing of his that I wanted of his. For me it is priceless because it was his.
I own one of these watches (6309-7290-F1) it's great but doesn't keep great time however If you get the movement serviced it will keep better time; it needs to be lubricated
Yeah, problem is that my dad took it in for service and some parts are worn out. Some sort of spindle and a jewel has a divot. Neither part is worth sourcing the part unless it's completely overhauled. I tried to get Spencer Klein to work on it but he's incredibly busy.
You showed the case back serial number in your video and it was 744213. That means the watch was made in April 1987. So your dad could not have bought it be before you were born.

The bezel, yes. Dial, no. Anything inside the case won't fit.
