Mark was severely underrated for his service on this show. Guy was a master at keeping a reign on everything and also popping the balloon sized egos of certain people. Also the wit of the man was unmatched, sharp as a tac! Wish he was still around today but it seems somewhat fitting for his character to have just went ‘Fuck it I can’t be arsed with any of you anymore, I’m gone’
I miss Buzzcocks so bad, one of the few TV shows that would constantly crease me up. Lamarr and Amstell we're both hilarious and often brutal to the guests, truly made for great TV.
What I miss about Marks presence on TV with Buzzcocks, and to a lesser extent with Simon Amstel, was the presence of at least one voice pointing out how absurd all this celebrity culture really was by taking the piss, these days there is so little room for dissenting voices young people get so swept away in the supposed legitimacy of the culture, be it social media or celebrity, and it is all taken so very seriously as there is nobody on a weekly basis on national television puncturing the pomposity of it all.
Bob Mortimer with the round where he explains the song title without using the words in the title - it sounds exactly like the sort of thing he always says anyway.
It seems like Mark Lamarr was only allowed to be in the nineties and then when the Millenium came about his obsolescense kicked in...we'll miss you Mark. You were so very good for such a short brilliant time....
that was great, took me back to nights when tv had funny stuff on and you laughed for a couple of hours, this, red dwarf, vic and bob, and many others, now theres not much on at all
Loved NMTB, much as I was into music and comedy I still can't express my admiration of the set builders .... Considering what a basic desk had to stand up to :)
Mark was always the best host of NMTB, why? BECAUSE HE KNOWS SOMETHING ABOUT MUSIC! I got so fed up of Amstell making the same Sugarbabes joke every 30 seconds! We miss you Lamarr!
Amstell seemed to me like he was just doing an impression of Lamarrs abrasive but funny shtick, only dialed to eleven, and ended up coming out breathtakingly rude and yet unoriginal.

Wossy: That was "Monkey Go Chop Banana" by Dan-I, and you've switched the track to make them look good because they're losing! You're better than this! Lamarr: _You're_ not.
I preferred Mark’s acerbic wit, but still appreciate Simon Amstell’s cheekier wind ups. Mind you, when Noel Fielding became a team captain, I quit watching. Can not stand him.

Bill Whittlingham and his hand lion.
Mark Lamarr was a brilliant host.
I miss him too.
THE best host of NMTB
Mez Hossain If one could buy a box set of all the seasons he did, I'd be all over that!
ammorreztristar I didn't mind him but I just found he was the worst autocue reader in the whole wide world. Honestly
Worst in the world, really? I mean, basic Google research will clear that one up.
Lamarr was the best host. He gave Buzzcocks an identity then Simon carried it on. I love his rants especially on Robbie Williams Angels.
WITH MY FIST
I love it when he tells Jonathan Ross to shut the fuck up
I like how they gave Jonathan Ross webel webel. Very clever
Pretty sure it was just to take the piss out of his voice, but it was still funny.
Bwilliant 👏

I liked Mark Lamarr as a host, i also dug Sean Hughes as a team captain, found him really funny.
RIP Sean Hughes
Sean Hughes sadly missed. Lovely bloke and so funny.
Had the pleasure of meeting Sean Hughes at a charity do once. He was surprisingly down to earth, and VERY funny
This is like stepping into a time machine. The key chain that plays a melody when you whistle...
This is soooo much better and funnier than the more recent version with Greg
Gone but not forgotten.
Mark lammar back in the day Buzzcocks , standard 90s viewing
Bob Mortimer just naming random cat related songs nearly killed me. xD
Back in the days where I'd stay in just to watch a tv program, I miss these days.
Indeed.Nowadays you can watch your favourite programme anywhere, anytime.

Mark Lamarr's voice sounds so similar to Tom Hardy's impression of the Krays

Thank The Maker for Youtey. we can watch what we want when we want. Blessed Be.
I come back to this video every now and again because I realise its almost a complete episode out of order with some other episodes spliced in there
Which episode is it mainly?
"Pink, spotty, rubber twat"
"Mister Blobby"
This should be taught alongside Basho as perfect poetry.
And it still beat Cliff Richard to a christmas number one
Whereas the answer of course was David Cameron

Absolutely.
Jesus, Norton looks about 15 😂😂😂 Lamarr was brilliant as the host of Buzzcocks.
Without argument, the best host of them all.
