A generational win, Something you don't see very often. Its remarkable how Shane was able to just plug right into an entirely new racing series, have nearly a flawless 2 days of racing, with all the rules and nuances it requires to master in order to have a shot to win. This is like something out of a movie. Might be a very long time before we see something like this happen again. So fun to watch
Amazing... Thanks to Trackhouse, Nascar and the streets of Chicago. This is sport at its best. In NZ and Australia we have known for years the prodigious talent that is SVG, seeing it on the world stage makes us all proud, no matter if you bleed for Ford or GM. I have never watched a NASCAR race before but will be following it now....
A huge "Thank You" to Justin and the entire Trackhouse team. As a longtime V8 Supercars fan, I've been waiting for this day. SVG is such a monster talent and this will hopefully open up NASCAR to a whole host of non-American drivers.
Thank you Trackhouse for bringing in SVG from here in New Zealand. I could only listen to the broadcast since I was at work that day but man that was one hell of a win. I am sure my whole work place heard me be excited when SVG crossed the finish line in 1st place. I can not say thank you enough for this opportunity for him and hopefully y'all can do more races.
Was rooting for him as soon as he got near the front. Unbelievably happy to see him win. And back to back Trackhouse wins! Momentum’s definitely swinging your way now!
what a moment, what a drive, what a great day to be a motorsport fan. thanks trackhouse, thanks enhance health, and thanks of course to shane for doing us so proud and showing em how its done.
That was the most impressive thing I've seen in Nascar since I started watching !! I started watching in the late 70s. Modern day Ricky Rudd and Rusty Wallace !!
Whoever gets SVG in 2024 is going to be the team to differently watch. Hopefully he stays with Team Chevy. Thank you Justin and TrackHouse great video.
He will be in a Camaro driving for Red Bull Triple Eight Racing Australia. He is contracted there till end of 2024 season, he will look for a seat in the 2025 cup series.
What an awesome race. Well done Gizzy and thank you to trackhouse for giving this talent an oppurtunity☝️☝️☝️☝️ hopefully he can go 2 from 2 when he comes to the Indy road course☝️☝️
Haven't watched Nascar regularly since Davey Alison. Alan Kulwicki and Rusty Wally driving a Pontiac but this made me take notice. Well done! Felt funny rooting for a GM driver and car though :) Will be watching some more from NZ.
Great video...Project 91 is a sweet looking car and putting SVG behind the wheel is a recruiting master-stroke. He took this car from position 17 to the winners circle and demonstrated the prodigious talent Gis has on a street/circuit course. Sure he put on a clinic and all the other drivers recognised that, but the more they race on street circuits the better they will get and their raceraft will improve dramatically. Hopefully we will see more driver exchange between V8 Supercars and NASCAR in the future, the fans would love that 👍🙂
Ive been watching Nascar off and on for many year's. I wasn't surprised to see someone with the talent SVG has win in his 1st attempt in Nascar. It played into his favor with it being the 1st ever road course- street race. With the rain, SVG may have had a slight advantage in the wet experience department but ya never know what can happen when its wet... Nevertheless, I'm excited to see more of the Australian racers come to Nascar and maybe even vice versa? Congratulations SVG and Trackhouse Racing. You guys are the big thing in Nascar..
Is Trackhouse putting every existing Team Lead Driver under pressure with this Project. SVG would get a Drive with any team after his Performace at Chicago.
The sooner Shane tells Supercars to stick it the better - you wanna race serious stuff you do it in the US - and I’m a Kiwi who’s followed Shane since his early days - This is your future - “Just Do It”
Nice video, but you should always have text in white or outlined in white when you have dark layering. I didn’t get most of the names in the back end of the video
Trackhouse Team, you have been spoilt. Find another Driver that absorbed everyting that was thrown at him and completed the task with 100% pass mark. SVG dominated the NASCAR Field.
Gr8 point, it was not explained @ all by the US media .... howly bagging into their cool aid. The set up by the Trackhouse team was top class ..... only winners grin & that team was full of stars led by a Mr D Grubb. ..... admittedly they got the pit strategy wrong but the sheer talent of SVG was on full display for the global audience to witness, a professional race driver executing his job to perfection with a clinical 1st place ..... 23 laps to go from 18th to 1st given all the mishaps along the way. You are so right what a shame the race was 75 laps......... if the race went the distance SVG would have won & daylight would have filled the top ten places behind him .... him & the team were ready to race 100 laps not 75 ..... but they won ... congrats to them all.
SVG will be the first driver to win his first title in his first season if racing with a top 3 Nascar team...! Mark my words and screenshot this. Been watching Nascar since 2000 and v8 super cars since 2001.
He still is having steering issues under brakes. They just don't have that new Gen 3 car right yet. Once they do get it right, there won't be any stopping him. Broc too. I think Feeney is more than pulling his weight this year, if SVG keeps having these car issues, Feeney is on track to possibly win the Championship IMO. Course I want SVG to win 3 in a row, but I don't discount Broc either. Go the Bulls! #97 #88
SVG will be driving in the All Stars next year. ........ Justin has declared that Shane won in 91 so really has to be the obvious choice to wheel the 91...... of course should the " Indy RC " outcome be a repeat then I think SVG would have a mortgage on the seat & possibly end up with shares in Trackhouse .... lol .... But what a gr8 ambassador for the sport worldwide SVG is. Life downunder is not all doom & gloom.
Where to next? I'LL TELL YOU. Project 91 The Motion Picture Movie Starts with Marks and Pitbull story then bringing in Kimi Raikkonen ends wit SVG !!! What a great American Story and is also relatable WORLD WIDE to all racers, fans especially to promote NASCAR don't you think? MAKE IT HAPPEN JUSTIN. Justin Marks the spot. Less go
I don't think you understand how hard WRC is. It has no transferable skill set to anything. Pacenotes especially. It takes years to be good in WRC. By far the hardest motorsport in the world. The fact Raikkonen/Reutemann even attempted it shows how skilled those guys were in their prime.
He went from last place to 5th place today after some a$4 Hit him and spun him out. He would have placed 4th but his team and equivalent of crew chief told him to concede his 4th place position to his team mate behind him in 5th place . SVG wasn't happy about it being vocal about it on comms
He was very lucky only one car he had to pass it had worn out tires the rest of good car's had wrecked besides that this was just a. B S race more like destruction derby than a race
Track House could been and improvement to nascar but bringing in guys like this over the exfinity and truck guys who have busted their ass to get to sprint cup series and they bring this guy in give him everything to win with. It's. BS
It was a fluke in my view. SVG has experience in cars similar to NASCAR, and it was raining (a condition NASCAR doesn't usually race in). I actually doubt he would be better than someone like Kimi at 43, over the course of an entire season. Not that I care. NASCAR is far inferior to WRC or F1. The fact someone won on their debut says it all.
Ouch! I've been a motorsports fan since the late 60s and F1 bores me to tears. WRC is great but has always been a niche market. NASCAR is the only major race series that combines road race skills and the ability to slide a car at more than 150mph (intermediate ovals). It will be fun watching SVGs learning curve.
Even as an Australian, i get goose bumps watching his debut. Just so cool.
Thanks for opportunity to cheer for a Kiwi in Nascar 🇳🇿, enjoyed every moment. Will be back when Shane is racing for you again.
So cool to see Jess share the celebrations with SVG
she was massive happy too
@@bobc1111 She has massive arse.
Thanks for sharing this series, and congratulations! 👏
An honor to have SVG behind the wheel!
Red Bill gives you Diiings
@@winzracingNZbruhhhh ur username 😂
Thank you Trackhouse, thank you Nascar, thank you Chicago. Thank you Triple eight. Amazing win SVG.
What a time to be a motorsport fan.

As a South Islander,I feel exactly the same way.

Aussies will be watching more NASCAR races from here onwards.
They need to , Supercars is broken - it’s so boring now
Not ovals
Thanks Trackhouse for letting SVG have a go and show the talent he’s got, Go the Giz! 😎😎🍾
new aussie nascar fan here! that was a killer race, SVG is a unicorn!
A huge "Thank You" to Justin and the entire Trackhouse team. As a longtime V8 Supercars fan, I've been waiting for this day. SVG is such a monster talent and this will hopefully open up NASCAR to a whole host of non-American drivers.

I am getting on the Trackhouse bus…because you guys are the smartest of the bunch.
No matter what, he came from other league, and win, first try, from right hand drive to left, new car, pure talent.
Quite an emotional little clip that almost got me in the feels.
SVG is so humble and polite 💫
Was rooting for him as soon as he got near the front. Unbelievably happy to see him win. And back to back Trackhouse wins! Momentum’s definitely swinging your way now!
Pays off when the best for the job is picked.
Well done Trackhouse👍

@thedoctor8381 Jamie has said he is prepared to let him go early if a deal can be done. He wants to see SVG succeed just as much as anyone else.
Congratulations Shane and congratulations to Trackhouse!
He’s a great driver but he wouldn’t have done it without a great team, well done!
This story on the heels of Garage 56 @ LeMans gives NASCAR a big bump!
