Thanks for sharing. It's more helpful to understand how MS PAD reacts in hosted mode. I have more questions wrt hosted machine based deployment. If you can help would be grear 1. My understanding is in hosted machine - machine gets allocated automatically and it will be removed after the completion.. And new machine gets allocated in next run - if this is the case how can we handle the onprem based application like SAP configuration, outlook.. Etc 2. What is the cost difference between hosted VS regular OS 3. What are the additional resources to be allocated for hosted rpa machine like having assigned with O365 license or does it picks those actions based on the user login profile?
Hi Bala, 1. In case you have an on-premises app, you can use any on-premises machine or Azure VM as the base machine, install the required app, then take a backup of the OS image and deploy the same OS image in the hosted machine so that it will contain your on-premises app as well or else you can also leverage existing default image from hosted machine and you can install your on prem software after you creating hosted machine so that option also feasible. 2. OS-wise, there is not much difference. You take the same regular OS, install all the required apps, and keep that OS as an image in the Azure Compute Gallery for hosted machine deployment. 3. Hosted machine licenses work at the organization/tenant level, so you do not need to assign them to the user or environment level. Hope it helps.
Thanks for sharing~ I have a question about if i want my hosted machine have access to my company local network. Does it mean I need to combine my hosted machine to Virtual Network and then configure S2S VPN with this Virtual Network? Look forward to your reply~!😛
