The title 「F」 is taken from Frieza, but it's actually meant to mean "Freedom". This song was a protest against oppression going on in Tibet, so it's a "Free Tibet" song. Ryo represented the oppression with Frieza's invasion in Dragonball. The author of Dragonball was inspired by this and decided to make a movie out of it. So although the song started out as an unofficial Dragonball-themed song, it later became an official one.
Yes, the beginning and ending "Phowa da! (Those are massacres!)" are Tibetan word. This was a protest song against the Tibetan genocide that took place in 2008. It satirizes the massacre of Tibetans by CCP. (When I translated the Spanish in this video into Google, it came out as "It's power". This is a mistranslation.)
Dragon Ball has a fan-made parody show called DBZ Abridged. The villain Frieza in the parody used this as his ringtone, and as an homage, this track was included in a movie also named in honor of the song (Resurrection of F).
also "phowa" is the word which is used by the Japanese Terrorist Shoko Asahara when he inrtructed to eliminate somebody. He was kind of dictator in the Ahm Shinrikyo(his religious groups). So Maximum The Hormone use the Shoko Asahara and Frieza as the example as dictator to criticize the things happened in Tibet.
@@hopsmetalshow3413 no worries! Love metal reactions and commentary. You should try listening to 'satsugai' by dmc (detroit metal city), its a japanese anime and they made a movie aswell back in 2006 or 07. They have an album and i love the songs on there. My profile picture is Johannes Krauser, the main singer and guitarist of dmc. Try it out!
